meaningful. To continue with your journey, it is important to attain a profound understanding of your roots, your
family, and its impact on your personal development.

TOPIC: Various Roles of Different Individual in Society

There are various individuals in our community whom we look up for many reasons. They do different roles that
help shape our neighbourhood.

We look up to someone people because they exemplify deeds that show responsibility, strength, and
productivity. We look up to someone because they do their tasks with commitment. For example we admire
community leaders because they organize activities for the welfare of the youth, parents, senior citizens and
other members of the community.

Here are some people who usually admire by adolescents:

TEACHERS – we admire our teachers for being dedicated in their
work and for planting the seeds of wisdom in our minds. They assist
us in learning new things by spending time to prepare lessons for us.
They create a positive impact in our lives as they impart new
knowledge, enhance our skills, and instill in us important values to
live meaningfully.

DOCTORS – we respect doctors because they help us take care our

body. They prescribe medicines that heal sickness and make us
healthy and strong. Doctors who show compassion in treating sick
people are admirable because they genuinely value the welfare of
others.

POLICEMEN and POLICEWOMEN– they are admirable
because they protect us and keep our neighbourhood safe. They
implement the rules of the government to maintain peace and order.
They put their lives at stake as they do their job.

FIREMEN– we respect these people for being there whenever there

is disaster. They also put their lives at stake to save the victims of
fire. Firemen, some of whom are volunteers, respond to emergency
calls readily, and thus, have helped many people from different
places. They actively participate in fire prevention activities as well.

DENTISTS– we admire dentists because they promote oral health.

We run to them whenever our teeth ache, and they repair those with
cavities to restore our smile.

Indeed, the people we admire influence us in many ways. We may be unaware of how they so, but we
have experienced changes in our attitudes, goals, and values as we see and work with them. Those teenagers
who live with loving adults learn the value of compassion for others and are less insecure of themselves . On
the other hand, a child who is delighted by material things and wealth by the person he or she admires will
dream of becoming a person who earns a lot of money; hence, becomes a priority for this child.

LEADERSHIP – is a relationship among leaders and followers which is in influential in effecting change and
realizing common goals. Involves creating change which should be substantive to arrive at an outcome that
both leaders and followers worked for.
FOLLOWERS – the role of follower is equally important in the realization of a group’s common goal. For a
society to be peaceful, orderly and productive, members must be willing to follow.
