To further your definition of the promotional mix, please follow the steps below. You will be working with 1 brand
highlighting how they use the promotional mix.

❏ Step 2: Begin to analyze how they apply elements of the promotional mix

❏ Social Media
❏ Within your notes, you have definitions for all of the above elements of the promotional
mix
❏ Step 3: Share 3 concrete examples as to how these companies are using these elements
❏ Examples may include: Campaigns, billboards, social media, press releases, commercials, radio
advertisements, magazine advertisement, direct mail, direct email, Youtube videos, etc.

You need to list 3 DIFFERENT examples of how this brand uses and applies the promotional mix. Please note:
When I say different, please make sure you are using different forms of the promotional mix i.e. don’t do all
commercials or all billboards.

You will detail each of your examples below. Please include print-outs/copies that back up your opinion. (Example:
If you are discussing a magazine advertisement or a billboard, I need you to include the ad - snap a pic! - or have a
picture of the billboard. The only thing you wouldn’t necessarily need an uploaded picture example of would be a
commercial.)

Example #1: Advertising

They utilize billboards, magazines, and television ads. For example the Coca-Cola company utilizes the
opportunity to create ads during special events like the super bowl.

Example #2: Sales Promotion

Utilizes coupons, deals, and going on sale to attract more people to buy their product. For example the
above ad where you can buy 5 12 packs of coke products for $10.
Example #3: Social Media

Has a large presence on social media as well as runs frequent ads on social media. For example the
#RefreshTheFeed campaign
