Title of the event:- Ladakh... Into the rugged lands.

Date: 26th September, 2020 (Saturday)

Time: 04:00 pm

Platform: Zoom App

Theme- To showcase the less travelled places in Ladakh and stories of the beautiful villages. To
show the other side of Ladakh in different seasons and experiences.

OBJECTIVES
Over the years Ladakh as a destination has gained so much popularity, but only the typical
destinations like Leh, Kargil, Pangong ,Zanskar etc are popular. But Ladakh has a lot to offer
other than this destinations. The main objective of this event was to show completely offbeat
places in Ladakh and different seasons which Ladakh has to offer to the tourists and not only
visit the typical cliche destinations. Also how can one be a responsible traveller and explore
locally.

As we were stuck in the pandemic situation we thought of giving a virtual treat to Ladakh and
promote it in a different offbeat way.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

Target audience for our virtual event was not restricted for any particular group and age limit.
It was open to everybody who wanted to witness the Virtual Ladakh and were eager to know
about the lesser known places were welcomed for our virtual event.

OUTCOME, SIGNIFICANCE AND PURPOSE:

The virtual event focused on the offbeat travel roads to Ladakh to make sure after things get
back to normal Postcovid-19 pandemic, people will be eager and urge to travel in an offbeat
manner by knowing some unknown places and facts about Ladakh. The main purpose was to
make people aware about the importance of travel not only to specific places but also locally.
Through our virtual event our purpose was to show offbeat villages of Ladakh, stories of people,
different seasons of Ladakh and some personal experiences. And by taking a part of this virtual
treat and to make people aware about offbeat places, we wish they travel that way and
experience locally.

PARTICIPANTS FEEDBACK AND SURVEY

We conducted a survey related to our theme and event and we got more than 50 percent of
positive replies for the event . And overall feedback from participants was good . They loved the
places and information given with pretty visuals , pictures and videos .
CHALLENGES AND REMEDIAL

As I had my mobile phone as my only resource to work , I faced a challenge of data issues and
due to lectures and assignments too . It was difficult to manage all through my phone . But I
made sure I'll complete my task on time and with dedication .

Also main concern was the internet connectivity as it was all virtual , it was difficult to keep in
sync with all the material for our virtual event . Also there are frequent power cuts at my place it
was very difficult to handle all via phone .

I had my backups , powerbank and other sources for which I made it possible to do all things
smoothly .

WHAT WAS MISSING AND COULD HAVE BEEN DONE BETTER

We could have added more famous treks and places too for just the visual purpose. In my
opinion , we could have made it more interactive with the participants. More places could have
been introduced and added . Other than that it went pretty well .
