The Lockheed Martin Valley Forge operation is looking for a Machining Manufacturing
Engineer to support development and production of weapon systems, ground support equipment
and satellite electronics boxes.

Key Duties for this position will include:

• Designing manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for equipment

installation, processing, machining and material handling.

• Writing production planning, inspecting and assessing defective hardware, and optimizing
production flow to meet program deliverables.
• Supporting Production Control in prioritizing work in process to meet program delivery
schedules.

• Interfacing with shop floor personnel to implement process improvements to gain efficiencies
and represent manufacturing in peer reviews of engineering drawings to enhance the design for
manufacturability.

• Tool design, analysis of shop performance, and supporting Quality Assurance in determining
Cause and Corrective Actions for process-related defects.

• Travel may be required.

• Weekend or off-hour support may be required to support Production schedules.

• The ability to obtain a Top Secret Security Clearance.

Typical experience for this role includes a Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a
related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional
experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility
to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while
others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time
away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
