This document outlines an experiment to observe transport in plants. The experiment involves cutting the bottoms of celery stalks and placing them in colored water to observe how the coloring moves up the stalk over time. The procedures involve preparing tools and materials, cutting celery stalks and placing them in colored water, and observing and recording any changes to the stalks and leaves at regular intervals over 24 hours. The results will show how far up the stalk the coloring travels over time, demonstrating transport of water and dissolved substances in the plant.
