Objective:

To describe the procedure for use of NABL symbol

Procedure:

1. Both the term and symbol will not be used in a manner that brings NABL into disrepute or
misrepresents the Laboratory’s scope of accreditation or accredited status.

2. The certificates/ reports issues under the accredited scope shall be signed by the NABL approved
authorized signatory only.

3. Use of NABL symbol is mandatory in all the reports/certificates/documents issued by KCL will be
only for the parameters/ test covered under NABL accredited scope. KCL will not be allowed to use
NABL symbol or claim NABL accreditation status in any form for the parameters which are not
covered under NABL accredited scope. The non-accredited parameters will not be a part of the
report/ certificate intended to be issued under NABL symbol.

4. Laboratory shall not use “NABL Symbol”/Claim of Accreditation is printed on letterhead and/or
other corporate stationery, such stationery is not used for work proposals or quotes.
