SAQ #4 FINAL in
CHEM 151-A

GAS LAWS
Name: Score: _____________
Schedule: Date: ______________

DIRECTION: Solve the following problems.

1. Air has a volume of 10L at 30 0C and 700 mm pressure. Find the volume at standard
condition.
2. The volume of air is 10 ml at 700 mm pressure. Find the volume at standard pressure.
3. The volume of gas is 10 L at 100C. Find the volume at standard temperature.

Standard temperature is 273 K or degrees Absolute

Standard pressure is 760 mm of Hg or 76 cm of Hg or 1 atmosphere
1 atmosphere is equivalent to 760 mm of Hg

In Gas laws, when you are dealing with temperature always convert it to Kelvin or
Absolute temperature.
K = degrees Celsius + 273
