1. Describe your house

My House

I live in a multi-story house in District 10, Ho Chi Minh City. I

have always felt a sense of comfort whenever I look at my house. It is

painted mostly white and has four floors in total. On the ground floor,

there is a living room and a kitchen. There is a leather sofa, a television

and a karaoke system. Every night, we will watch a movie or sing silly

songs together. Next to the living room is the kitchen equipped with

modern appliances and constantly has a pleasant smell with homemade

meals. In the left corner is a staircase leading to the floors above. On the

first floor, there is my parents’ room and a room where we put our

family’s altar. On the second floor, there are rooms for my sister and me.

One is a bedroom, and the other is a storage room for our clothes, school

bags, and shoes. We have decorated our room with LED light strips that

illuminate a warm glow at night. There is a double bed in the right

 corner of the room. On the opposite are our desks and a bookshelf that

contains many books and souvenirs. The top floor of my house is my

grandmother's room with a garden full of fruits and vegetables. My

house is a place I hold dear to my heart no matter where I go.

2. Describe your best friend

My Precious Friend

I have met and befriended many people in my life, but the one who

sticks to me until today is my best friend, Thuy. I remember meeting her on

my first day of high school, and we immediately hit it off and became best

friends ever since. She is a lovely girl with a chubby face and long curly hair.

Her big brown eyes are always kind and gentle. Apart from her appearance, I

have always admired her personality. My best friend is a confident person. She

is always the first to volunteer for class activities and has no problem

presenting in front of others. With her confidence, she can easily charm

anyone interacting with her. Another good trait of her is her honesty. She is

never afraid of speaking the truth and standing up for people who need it.

Sometimes she is too straightforward and says hurtful comments to other

people unintentionally. In that case, she willingly accepts her mistake and tries

her best to fix it. However, she is as stubborn as a mule. It is very troublesome

to change her mind after she has decided on something. I had to drag her out of

the classroom during a heated argument with our friends once. Above all, she

is the person I can share weal and woe in life. We have always been each other

anchors since the day we met. Altogether, I feel lucky to have a best friend like

her in my life.
