P5-I newsletter 3
Welcome back to our newsletter! Hope you enjoy the March holidays! For this
newsletter, we have added a bonus section! The storytime section. We hope
you will enjoy the new section for this newsletter. We also created a youtube
channel for you to watch our videos about our newsletters and other updates.
The link to our youtube channel will be sent to our website. As usual, we will
first name the star pupils of each group!

Self-discipline:
Yong Rang has been improving in his attitude this year! He is now a better
version of himself than last year. Keep up the good work!

Teamwork:
Kyler has been a responsible speech tracker and tries to help his group by
earning points. Keep up the good work Kyler!

Affection:
Joshitha has been a helpful and caring group monitor. She takes pride in her
daily works! Well Done Joshitha!

Responsibility:
Venice has been a responsible group monitor and a class librarian. She has also
been a very responsible and diligent student ever since the start of the year. She
always takes the initiative to answer questions in class. She takes pride in her
work and has also been promptly submitting homework. Good Job Venice!
Courage:
Zephania has been doing great as a social studies leader, keep
it up !!

Answers for the Math challenge:

Now, we will show you the story prepared for you…

Lily does not like vegetables at all! Whenever her mother prepares
vegetables for dinner, she would refuse to eat them. She could not even
stand the sight of vegetables! To add fuel to the fire, she despised the colour
green!
One day, Lily was invited to a slumber party hosted by her best friend,
Ella. When it was time to eat dinner, Ella’s mother brought out all of the
dishes. All of them were served with vegetables. Soon, every attendee at the
slumber party, including the hostess and her parents, began pigging into the
deliciousness. Everyone except for Lily.
Lily began scanning the room for any food except for vegetables to eat.
However, to her dismay, there were none. Lily walked up to Ella and asked
Ella desperately, “Is there anything to eat that does not include vegetables?”
To her dismay, Ella shook her head and explained that her family
members were vegetarians. Lily nodded with disappointment and went up to
the sleeping room to watch the television. “Maybe some television shows
will keep me company while everyone’s eating their meals,” Lily thought.

After half an hour, Lily was as hungry as a wolf. Her stomach was
rumbling. She felt as if she hadn’t eaten in ages! Lily went to the dining hall
and dug into the dishes at the speed of light. Everybody’s eyes were on her
as Lily ate the last bit of vegetables. To Lily’s surprise, it did not taste
disgusting at all. Instead, it tasted delicious.

From that day on, Lily decided to turn over a new leaf. She loved to eat
vegetables and learned that things are not what they seem at first sight. She
also understood not to judge a book by its cover.

Hope you have enjoyed our story!

Now for this week is Art week! The theme is Technology. You can draw
and colour anything related to technology in Singapore. Everyone can
participate. It is optional. The prizes will be better than the previous
challenges!
