STCE – 2x16DCC Digital Continuous
Command

„ Allowing of contemporary commands;

„ Command check by mean of sw reading of output; if checks fail,
the command is not executed and the unit is declared out of
order;
„ Execution of double security sw checks (only one fault does not
cause an untimely execution of the command)
„ Management of digital signals (with or without time tag)
towards the Center, regarding to:
„ persistent output status
„ set point in execution
„ set-point error

STCE/RTU HW Description ed.1.1 65/75

STCE – 2x16DCC Digital Continuous
Command

„ Commands execution:
„ Impulsive closure of output contacts; two execution timers are
configurable for each output: Short Pulse, Long Pulse
„ Continuous: contact closure and opening depends on value of
command message (on Æ closure; off Æ opening);
„ Up/Down Set-point : execution timer depends on value of set-point
message as percentage of configured range.
The command coding is as following:
• 00 Æ rest state
• 01 Æ down
• 10 Æ up
• 11 Æ not executed

STCE – 8 Optoinsulated Analog Outputs
„ Output circuits protection
against high disturbance that
can arrive from field circuits
„ Analog output in voltage and
current (hardware settings)
„ Congruence check between
requested value and output
value by mean of output
recoding
„ Management of 8
optoinsulated digital output
used as local alarm or
“moving device criterion”
„ Alarms are set if the unit
fails

STCE – Serial I/O units

„ The serial units available are:

„ 4 Serial Channels (4SC) on which can be configured one of following
communication protocols:
• IEC 60870-5-101 Master
• IEC 60870-5-103 Master
• MODBUS STD Master
• IEC 61107 Master
following electrical interfaces is available:
• EIA RS232 optoinsulated
• EIA RS422/RS485 optoinsulated
„ 2 Serial Channels + 1 Ethernet interface (2SC+ETH) on which are
configured both following communication protocols:
• IEC 60870-5-101 Master
• IEC 60870-5-104 Master
following electrical interfaces is available:
• EIA RS232 optoinsulated
• EIA RS422/RS485 optoinsulated
• Ethernet (integrated)

• Single point „ Output
• Double point • Single Command
• Measurements • Double Command
• Step position • Step position
• Bitstring • Set point
• Counters • Bitstring

„ Maximum capacity:
„ STCE/RTU can equip up to 4 serial units, 4SC or 2SC+ETH,
(point-to-point and/or point-multipoint connections); it
means a global maximum of 8000 serial points.
