Health Passport
A health identification roster that tracks any/all crucial data related to a person’s
health conditions like diabetes, cholesterol, allergies, previous medical issues, etc.
This serves as vital information in case of any medical emergency, towards a faster
decision-making process. It can also integrate the required information in one place
on a digital platform that can be accessed from multiple devices. This reduces the
hassle of carrying it around physically. During COVID times many firms has worked
on providing platforms like these for better functioning of the organisations.
Embedded AI
The integration of capabilities from both machine learning and deep learning into a
software platform for better productivity of the organization and individual
capabilities is basically embedded AI. It helps to enhance the customer experience
and provides any user with useful insights on the go besides providing aid in the
decision-making process. The ERP portal of IMT Ghaziabad is a great example for
this, as it incorporates attendance, test taking, syllabus and placement activities all
in one place.
Responsible AI
It’s is a framework for ensuring the ethical, transparent and accountable use of AI
technologies. It should be consistent with the user’s expectations, organizational
values, and societal norms. It can help avoid the use of biased data or algorithms. It
ensures that automated decisions are fair and helps maintain user’s trust. Google’s
AI is the best example in this case. It allows easy access to all work files, personal
information and what not, all in one place, and protects that information. Some may
even opt for 2-way verification for added layers of security.
Generative AI
It refers to algorithms that can use existing content like text, audio files or images to
create new related content.  It enables computers to analyse the various pattern
related to the input and generate output in the form of closely associated content. It
became popular for the army and the secret services when they had to track down
terrorists, where pictures taken from drones made it back to the AI to generate how
the terrorists look like at later points of time.
AI-augmented development
It involves usage of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning and natural
language processing technologies to generate automatically and evolve via machine
learning, user flows, screen designs, content and presentation layer code for digital
products. We find its usage even in retail outlets, such as Zara Fashion stores have
replaced their traditional mannequins with the advanced AI powered augmented
reality to enhance customer experience.
Adaptive ML
It involves continuous learning with online machine learning models in real-time.
This allows machine learning models to adapt themselves to the continuously
changing environment. There is a constant interaction with the prevailing conditions
and learning models, as is developed per the understandings of the machine, to
enable the users with an enhanced capability in taking an appropriate action.
Explainable AI
These are expandable tools that can elucidate the rationale for any/all A.I. decisions,
characterize their decision-making strengths and weaknesses, and help in predicting
their behaviour in the future. It can be utilized to improve a model’s performance,
and help others understand a model’s behaviour. The prospect of data insight makes
it useful in any field in general, while for specificity, it could be used to understand
how the data collected from drones and satellites be put to better use.
Self-Supervised Learning
Many a times, data storage causes a hassle as we find recurring data in many fields
of work nowadays. Self-supervised learning basically takes into consideration the
presence of labels, or keywords, which helps target the data easily. This causes the
alignment of data into stacks and helps store it better. Manual collection of labels is
expensive and leaves developers and learners struggling with time. Self-supervised
learning allows users to enjoy a simple “search and learn” approach. The benefits of
this are that it gains traction towards all areas which remain unsupervised. For
example, the medical data of a patient, or their past ailment records. Beyond this,
children have no difficulty adapting to the learning process.
Robotic Process Automation (RPA)
This technology can be used to automate daily tasks which are repetitive in nature.
These can include a variety of tasks such as processing transactions or handling
business data etc. It has a huge potential in the years to come, as it will help in
achieving higher efficiency and improved quality of product being manufactured or
provided in the market. Though many would argue that it increases the risk of
unemployment, but it also has the potential to create a lot of job opportunities in the
technological fields.
Blockchain
In such a modern generation, the most valuable aspect of us Humans is data. How
ewe store it, where we store it, and what not. Using a Blockchain system, to store
information that is almost impossible to penetrate, seems like a safety feature anyone
would opt for. It’s a highly secured form of recording data as its encrypted and
decentralized in nature. There has been a rise of popularity of blockchain technology
in the banking sector which is prone to cyberattacks. This can have a major impact
on the future way of operating. Currently we have Walmart, IBM and Mastercard
investing heavily on this technology. In the future, Facebook is claiming of taking
out one of their own, called Libra.
