Reflections of Lessons
Lesson #1
This lesson was built upon the digital age by using google document. Google document allows
students to share with one another. It also allows each participant to contribute so that all are learning
from each other (Teaching Channel). Students are excited to be a part and have input into their creation.
Also, the teacher can add comments along the way. This helps give immediate feedback and helps the
student to improve on what the skill is. It also builds upon the perspective of accepting all answers and
not judging each others response (Nelson 2018). We think of the response in reverse by asking ourselves
“What can we do with it?”. It allows participants to take it to a deeper thinking of application then
judgement. Finally, it allows every student to have a voice. Students can be shy or scared to share their
response. This allows students to help each other and build each other’s knowledge in the topic. It also
allows the teacher to see everyone’s contribution to the project. By seeing everyone’s response, the
teacher is able to see that collaboration with each other. Finally, students are able to access the
document from any device that can get internet. This allows students to work on it outside of school if
need to.
Lesson #2
This lesson was built upon the digital age because it allows collaboration with each other
through the use of technology. Padlet is a space where you create a poster but electronically. Everyone
that has access to that padlet can post onto to it. It also brings in the digital age of collaboration because
you can post different medias onto the padlet. This gives creativity to students to post not only your
simple text box but can post a powerpoint, video, or voice recording. This gives everyone a chance to
post something in their own form that they are comfortable with. By allowing students to post in their
own way, it shows the acceptance of all responses while building a project together. It builds upon
everyones knowledge and is teaching each other in the process. When I say teaching other, I mean
learning information that you may have not known before. Also, it builds upon the saying “making your
partner look good” (Nelson 3018). What I mean by this is that you are adding on to others responses
which helps to make them look good. By adding on to others knowledge, it shows the confidence and
