Adjust LUT curve by user, it is able to adjust gray scale range of image. (10 bit or higher gray-level image)
1) With two pointer on the line, adjust curve of S and check the change of image processing.
2) Adjust W/L with right click on image window.
3) Modality, exam part, series, exam unit, it is able to setup LUT value and W/L value.
(It depends on privileges by user.)
Caution
Based on modality or body part information, it applies with DICOM information. User type in the contents and
modality information and it operates automatically (auto matching).

Using Reference image view function, you can review reference images during
diagnoses, patient care and education, etc.
(Refer to V. Advanced features > Reference image view)
4.CD backup
Using the function of CD backup, you can copy DICOM images and database
of PPFOCUS to CD/DVD for media backup, educational purpose, CD copy
when the transfer patients to other hospitals.
(Refer to V. Advanced features > CD backup)

1. External program
It is able to use with 3D, MS office, HIS such as other company’s program. On this option, it is necessary to appoint
external program to be designated to use.
3. Path : Location of exe file, click <…> button to register the program.

Exam Window: Display exam. For example, if a user use hanging protocol, one modality will be configur

Series Window: Display exam with each series.
Image Window: Display image is included on series.

No: For 1 series layout mode, all series mode will not be in use.
Both Exam: For 1 series mode of 2 exams, select all series mode.
Left Exam : Left of exam open window, 1 series mode of image will be displayed.

1) When user setup hanging protocol by modality, select one from layout list.

Please double click the icon, DICOM engine will be running on window system tray.
Please refer to the figure as follow.
Please double click the icon to check the status of DICOM network.
The window will be displayed as follow.
If the network is not running, please click start to run the service.
Once PPW Dicom Engine is on, network status will be ready automatically.

2. Language error
For viewer installation, please select same language of OS. If user select different language of OS, language error
message will be displayed.
3. Insufficient space
Requires minimum of 70M byte HDD for viewer.

4. DB Connection Error
When DB connection Error message pops up, it is problem of connection to PPS server.
1) Check cable connectivity physically.
2) Check ODBC setting and server IP address of PPS database.
6. Local DB Backup
There are two database of Master.mdb and PacsPlus.mdb in PPW.
In conference Folder, there’s a mdb file.
It means that system couldn’t read the database info in master.mdb as OptionàPreferenceà
Database tab Database and restore master.mdb
2) PacsPlus.mdb
It contains image of local folder and setting values.
ex) study, series, image ...
- When pacsplus.mdb is broken
The same message will be popped up with error message of master.mdb.
-How to backup local database
(Please refer to Option –Preference of manual)
- How to restore local database(same as the way of restoring master.mdb)
1) When error message pops up, click Cancel
2) Click OK
Caution When local database was not backed up, it is able to attach same mdb file of
different PPW workstation to the path of local database.

use batch import.

9. Crash Detected
1) This error message is hard to reproduce, mostly it is network or pc problem and there are various reasons and it is
not defined as a bug.
2) For example, when user use keys of PPW constraint or failure of network connection. And hardware, network
device, problem of computer operation, crash with other software, shortage of memory capacity. This error message
displays unexpectedly and hard to find out the reason.
3) When this message occurs, last edited work may not be saved, and system error or loss of data will not be applied.
How to resolve
1) Primarily, check whether PPW runs correctly. (If the PPW runs correctly, there’s no problem of PPW)
2) When PPW is not running correctly, please check the status of network.
3) Please contact local distributor when user did all the steps and didn’t not work.
