Introduction
Non- governmental organizations or NGOs generally refer to those non- profit or voluntary
organizations which work in the field of development co- operation or in education and policy
advocacy activities (Brodhead, 1987). NGOs is a non-political non-governmental organization
working in parallel with the government. Poverty refers to from of economic, social and
psychological deprivation occurring among people or countries lacking sufficient ownership,
control or access to resources to maintain or provide individual or collective minimum levels
of living. The NGOs eradicate poverty this system employment generation, micro- credit,
education, women empowerment, development of agriculture. The COVID-19 means
epidemic not only Bangladesh but also world affect. The NGOs mitigation of COVID-19 in
Bangladesh this way provide information, people are aware, some NGOs provide money,
active in our grassroots levels with their relief, many micro-credit organization did not receive
their loan repayments from the receivers.

The role of poverty reduction of NGOs in Bangladesh.
1. Development of Agriculture: Generally, NGOs in Bangladesh focus their work on the
very poorest sectors of society such as landless, woman and the rural poor. They
NGOs working for the development of agricultural sectors.
2. Socio-economic development: NGOs touch the fundamental elements of socio
economic development of the country. The NGOs uses human resources are properly
used.
3. Employment generation: The NGOs are Bangladesh many sector creating of this sector
many people work and poverty alleviation.
4. Communication facilities: NGOs were not only for their own sake but also for local and
national interest. They build many roads, bridges and highways to provide
communication facilities.
5. Uplifting Programmes: NGOs are active in our grassroots levels with their relief,
poverty alleviation, social uplift, environmental and overall development
programmes. The rural poor have now direct access to the aid, credit and support to
the NGOs.
6. Education: The NGOs are universal primary education should be endured. Many NGOs
are educational institution establish.
7. Women empowerment: NGOs are the Bangladesh women self-employment for
establishment institution.
NGOs some sectors should be created so that poor people may invest their many. The poor
people should be motivated for self- employed. The NGOs technical education system may be
introduced for women.
Bangladesh are many NGOS work for poverty alleviation this BRAC, GB, ASA, TMSS, are
working for the development of heath care, women empowerment, gender equity, raising
fund, supply information and data, developing entrepreneur.
There are two NGOs main active role of poverty alleviation in Bangladesh.
A. BRAC: The NGOs of BRAC in Bangladesh many institution employment generation.
Educational institution, micro credit supply poor people. They are in supply education,
shelter, food, cloth and security under the poverty people. BRAC Ultra poor
Graduation Programme.
B. Grameen Bank: The Grameen Bank is a microfinance organization and community
development. Create opportunities for self-employment for the vast multitude of
unemployed people in rural Bangladesh. To bring economic and social change to the
poor. Most owners and borrowers are poor women.
Conclusion
The NGOs are poverty alleviation in Bangladesh working together with different NGOs in rural
areas to make the people self-employed. Here micro-credit of weapon for poverty reduction.
The Bangladesh COVID-19 not expansive modest reach work for NGOs. Grassroots people
proper information gets work for NGOs.
