 ABOUT US

Indian Institute of Technology Indore has been the standout educational institute among the newly established IITs for
over 10 years. Our students boast of various successes in the fields of technical ,academics, sports and culturals.
However, what makes them truly special is an undying spirit and an immense dedication to achieve what was once
impossible.
With a grand success in Fluxus Technicals last year, this time we aspire to set new benchmarks in the field under a
new name “TechGnista”. This time we have planned a series of new events, exclusive prizes, uplifting talks and
enlightening exhibitions. With breathtaking participation of enthusiastic techies in our previous editions, we are
pumped up to bring some exciting events this year. It is going to be irresistible !
With preparations to exceed the 25,000 footfall of Fluxus '19, this year its gonna be the biggest edition yet !

 TECHNICALS
TechGnista, the technical half of Fluxus which provides a
platform for the tech-community to showcase their profound
skills. The technicals have always received a very active
participation and with the introduction of newer events every
year, this participation has only increased without facing back.
This year with two new flagship events and many other fresh
events, we are expecting to receive a very overwhelming
response from our tech-audience.
 ROBOWARS
The Flagship event of TechGnista where powerful bots
battle against each other to achieve the ultimate glory. A
closed arena and two warriors in the arena equipped
with lethal weapons and strategies to crush the opponent
no matter what it takes. You know what it is to me ? “A
PERFECT HEAVEN!”. This year TechGnista is
bringing the heaven in FLUXUS20. An Arena where
these machines of malice will battle through hell for the
title of the ‘Ultimate Survivor’.
Participants are expected to bring a solid bot and compete among others to survive till the last.
But this time not only survivor but other people will also get the glory.
 NITROTHRUST
Racing is all about speed, "Faster, faster, faster until
the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death". So, for
the first time presenting the most thrilling flagship
event, NITROThrust, radio-controlled car racing event
that tests the participant’s fabrication, driving, and
management skills.

Here, a wireless RC car, powered by an IC engine is

required for participation by each team. The event is to
complete your model and compete with other teams.
To score maximum points, your car needs to complete
the race in the least possible time on a well-designed
off-road track with obstacles.
 Code-de-Cuisson

Taking inspiration form great programmers like

Linus Torvalds and Jeff Dean, Get ready to cook
some code and compete with talented and
hardworking programmers all around the globe.
TechGnista FLUXUS presents you with – Code-de-
Cuisson, the annual coding fest of our college.
With a tremendous success last year with a
participation of around 17K, we are back with
tougher and more innovative challenges this year,
ranging from Competitive Programming and Application Development to Cyber Security
and Machine Learning.
 OBSTA-COURSE
Think your robot can overcome any obstacle-big or
small in the least time? Get it on the track and let the
game begin. Design a manually controlled ROBOT that
has capacity to conquer hurdles and cover maximum
distance in minimum time, amongst the best
competitors. Show off your way you enter, your speed,
your way to overcome challenges here at the enthralling
event of “Obsta-Course”.

 ROBO-SOCCER
With robots doing more and more things as time
proceeds, why not also have some fun with them ?
TechGnista invites teams to bring their own set of RC
bots to conquer the field and prove themselves
atheletic enough to win the contemporary version of
Soccer, “Robo Soccer”.

You can’t Just win a game with tougher bots’ so get

moving, create a strategy, charge your bots and judge
your opponents every move to emerge victorious.
 MARG-DARSHAK
“He who is a good follower can be a good leader”, is it
true? Don’t you just hate it when you have to follow same
path again and again to hand over product in workplace?
To solve problems like these, concept of following robots
come into existence. Line follower robot is a mobile
machine that can detect and follow the line drawn on the
floor. Do you think you can challenge participants from all
over the city and complete our challenging follow-track ?

Remember to calibrate your bot’s sensors for surprising challenges in the track ;)
 CADATHON
Can a design change the world? “It can”-says the
innovative engineer familiar with CAD softwares.
Build the enthu with product designing and make
others jealous of your creative design with carefully
crafted problem statements combined with mind
boggling challenges in our own customized version of
CADathon.
 StrategAI
StrategAI is an AI-based contest where the players are pitted
against each other in an interesting Strategy game.
Being our first time, we are taking MIT’s “BATTLECODE”
event as our inspiration.
Students from anywhere in India can register for this event as a
team of at most 4. Students will be given 1½ months of time for
submission of the final code. During this time, the teams are
supposed to refer to the documentation, understand it, plan

strategies and implement their AI on our game. The code of the game will be released during start of December. Based on
the number of teams registered, we are planning to make the matching system either a pool based or a knockout
tournament. Each match has 3 rounds. The team which wins 2 rounds first wins.
 MANTHAN
“Climate change is no longer some far-off problem, it is
happening here, it is happening now.”

Climate change is a global issue and is posing one of the
biggest long-term threats to society. Manthan, a hackathon competition aims at resolving issues
related to climate change. It consists of 2 problem
statements dealing with flood disaster management and
safe green housing. Participants are expected to come up
with creative technological solutions to the following day
to day problems by the use of both innovation and
technology.
 TECH-TALKS
In Tech Talks, we invite people who are experts
having a vast knowledge in their field and give
them a platform to showcase their ideas to a
broader community. They give you an insight
about the reality of inner working of industry
and also share their experience and journey to
this position. The audience who attend this talk
varies from students to professor and get to know about the true struggle of CEO’s, VP’s ,
Inventors, etc.
 EXHIBITION
The best way to increase interests towards science and
technology is to see them working. Bringing you the best
innovative things in science and technology from all over
India under TechGnista. The exhibition is going to
include the start-ups, technical projects, interesting
researches and military projects.

 Workshops
“Tell me I forget. Teach me I remember. Involve me and I learn.” Workshops help
in developing one’s field of interest and give a direction to one’s career. In the spirit
of active learning, Fluxus saw a plethora of workshops for the audiences to help
them with hands-on learning. Bridge-building to AI and IoT, building quadcopters
to cyber security and ethical hacking, the workshops covered a whole range of
topics that interest the aspiring young Indian engineer.

building up in the fest, Informals
provide respite from stress and
entertain you with funny, innovative,
and energetic games. This time
TechGnista is bringing a whole new
genre of games for the first time in
Fluxus, including VR, Motion based
games, and many more.

experts pass on their gathered wisdom to the audience. Fluxus2k19 sported the teenage

entrepreneurship and philosophyof character.
