This course will equip you with all of these digital media topics:

Topic Outline/Schedule (4 weeks)
Specific Course
At the beginning of the course, students must be able to identify the kind and
type of video production they want to specialize in. Students will then be trained
and mentored towards their choice of video production type.
Week 1:
Introductory & Pre-production
During week 2 students shall be exposed to shooting with the camera or the
phone. This would give them a deeper understanding of what video production
entails.
Week 3:
Post Production: STAGES OF VIDEO PRODUCTION
Week 4:
Production & Post-Production: Major assignment
During the week, students will be allowed to further sharpen their skills by
executing their own production.
This production would be tailored to their team’s project; hence they will liaise
with other team members in the other courses to create their piece of work.
On the last day of the week, they shall submit what they have done for perusal
and feedback.

sound design tools, applying them within the context of creative needs.

Introduction to Sound and Sound Design

The ability to work in teams and collaboratively is essential to both the Film/TV & Game
industries. Students will explore how to work better and be better team-mates through
this course.
Portable recording is the basis for many of the sounds in any good sound designer’s
library. Students are encouraged to always be prepared to record sounds at any time.
This course covers the five Ws of portable recording as well as some basics in
mastering their sounds.

Students explore different portable recorders available at VFS in addition to the other
microphones they are able to use throughout the year. Proper microphone technique is
stressed to increase the quality of student recordings.
Post-production studio recording breaks down into two main categories: Foley and
ADR. The first four classes of this course concentrate on Foley with the following three
classes on ADR, including how ADR is scripted prior to recording and using that script
in an ADR session. There is also a review of microphones used for these types of
recordings.

Course Description
Photography is a form of art that involves capturing images and showcasing them
to the viewers. With the constant improvement of technology, it has been advanced
in execution and reformed as an art, especially with the modern smartphones.
Smartphone cameras, while being continuously bettered over time, have
minimized the technical difficulty in photography and made it a much friendlier art
to the regular public.
