Module 2- COMMUNITY IN DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES

Task 1: MOTIVATIONAL ACTIVITY

Direction: Look at the pictures below, say something about it. Use 3 to 5 sentence to
describe or explain it.

Like a living thing, the community is made up of several components


that represent specialized functions, activities, or interests, all of
which operate within specified bounds to suit communal requirements.

They were different in what they thought of what to do or what they


intended to do there with the elephant. They have different interests in
elephant .The men there thought differently about that elephant. The
third man in the picture intends to stab the elephant.

Task 2: ANSWER ME!

Direction: Answer the following question based on the idea presented on the discussion.

1. What does the lesson say about the idea of a community? the community has
different perspectives .There are several perspectives on community. There are four
different ways to think about things. Utilizing the most appropriate views to present
multiple perspectives on the Community engagement is a process.

2. Based on the discussion who makes up the community? A community is a group of


people who share something in common. You can define a community by the shared
attributes of the people in it and/or by the strength of the connections among them.

platform can be. Select a community that you intend to examine. Identify the community
leaders, organizations and agencies who are actively involved in community affairs.

description of your organization.
Employees will benefit from structure because it will provide more clarity, assist
manage expectations, improve decision-making, and create consistency.
Organizational charts also help to delegate responsibilities, coordinate workflow,
and ensure that critical activities are performed on time.

2. What are the goals, objectives and advocacy of your organization?


Advocacy goals and objectives
Advocacy's goals and objectives are to promote change and the establishment of
new policy areas in order to address unmet health needs or emerging health
needs in a given community. Any advocacy activity's desired outcome is referred
to it as a goal.

3. What do you think are the important issues and problems of communities?
The drugs and the Covid 19-virus.

4. How do you intend to address the issues and problems? I will determine the
problems and think of the right solution that can help our community.

5. Have you already partnered with other organizations in addressing the issues
and problems in your community? If yes, who are these partners?

6. Is your organization willing to initiate and build a partnership with our


school/students? Yes.
Task 5: PERFORMANCE OUTPUT

Task 5.A. Explain this quotation from Orson Scott Card (3-5 sentence) “Every person is
defined by the community (he or) she belongs to”

Each person is determined by his or her community to which he or she belongs. This
means you are part of the community you belong to. It's about doing something together
that matters when it comes to belonging. This is what it means to be part of a true
community. A sense of belonging and belongingness. You can be a part of a
community because you have certain shared interests, but you can also be a member
of a community because you simply do not care.

Task 5.B. Imagine you possess a kind of leadership and you want to establish an
organization. Fill out the information below and use SWOT Analysis
(Strengths,Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threat) to predict the outcome of your
choice.
