Project All students are required to adhere to the norms of conduct as specified in
Guidelines the School of Business and Management Guidelines Document.

- The student is expected to choose an NGO in consultation with the


faculty Guide.

- Adhere to the guidelines and submit the report as per the schedule.

- Before submitting the final report, a rough draft of the project report
is to be submitted to the guide for review.

Guidelines to facilitate the writing of Social Responsibility Project

I. Prelude

The purpose of writing the project is to communicate the learning and


experience acquired in the NGO visit by the student. This project study is
done in partial fulfilment of the BBA programme. It is a time-bound and
independent study guided by a faculty member.

● Students are advised to carry out their Social Responsibility


Project in an NGO agreed by the guide.
● The SRP guide will be the class coordinator. You are supposed to
be in regular touch with the research guide.
● The project report must illustrate the experiential learning in an
NGO presented in a simple and systematic manner.
● Adhere to the guidelines and submit the report as per the
schedule. Individual reports are to be submitted.
● Before the submission of the final report, a rough draft of the
project report is to be submitted to the guide for review.
● Project writing should exhibit originality. Copying of other work
is strictly prohibited. However, one can refer to previous project
reports to gain insight or to understand.
● The students must submit to the faculty guide on or before the
prescribed date. Two copies of project reports (one for

university) and the second copy (original) must be collected and
kept by the student with himself/herself after getting signed by
the faculty guide. Both copies must be submitted together.

II. Social Responsibility Project Report Format

● Font Style – Times New Roman


● Font Size – 14 for Headings and 12 for running text
● Line spacing – 1.5
● Back-to-Back printing and soft bound (2 copies), whenever
asked to be submitted.
● Normal A4 Size Sheets to be used; No Glazing Sheets, Thick
Sheets or Transparencies are not allowed.
● No Header and Footer except for page numbers in the centre
below the content
● Headings to be in bold
● Margins 1” on all sides (Top, bottom, left & right)
● Page numbering
● No borders
● No all caps to be used
● No pictures or logos in the report. if required, they can put the
same in the annexures
● No NGO Logo on regular pages. It should be only on the NGO
Certificate
● Report to be 40 to 50 pages
● Page breakers at the end of each chapter, and each chapter shall
begin on a fresh page.
● Attach only a photocopy of your original certificate
● The report should have the pages as mentioned in the
arrangements of the contents of the project above.

III Arrangement Of The Contents Of The Project

The sequence in which the Social Responsibility Project material should be

IV Organisation of The Chapters of Project

The project shall be presented in a number of chapters, starting with


Introduction and ending with Recommendations and Conclusions. Each of
the other chapters will have a precise title reflecting the contents of the
chapter. A chapter can be subdivided into sections and sub-sections, so as to
present the content discretely and with due emphasis.

CHAPTER I

INTRODUCTION

It shall justify and highlight the need and objectives of the study. This
chapter has the following sub-topics

CHAPTER II

INTRODUCTION TO THE NGO (Profile)

This Chapter shall present a brief overview of the NGO, its contributions
and its focus areas. The NGO Profile should broadly cover the following
topics

● A brief history of the NGO


● Introduction to the nature of activities
● founders’ profile
● The present position of the NGO

CHAPTER III

ACTIVITIES

The chapter must contain information on responsibilities undertaken and key


initiatives under the following heading.

● Report of weekly activities

CHAPTER IV

LEARNING OUTCOME

This chapter refers to the learning acquired by the students due to this
intervention under the

The candidates shall follow the style of citation and style of listing as per
APA 6th edition format. Single spacing should be used for typing
references.

Procedures To Be Followed for Project Work

Students are provided with a list of NGOs by the class coordinator, few
NGOs can be shortlisted and contacted. Students are free to contact NGOs
of their own. The finalised NGO is finally communicated to the class
coordinator.
Course This course intends to sensitise the students towards social issues faced by

Governmental Organisation (NGO) in addressing these social issues. This
course aims to bring about a change in students’ perspective towards these
social issues and make them aware of their role in helping society overcome
such social issues. The purpose of writing a project report is to communicate
the learning of the project study undertaken on a particular NGO, in partial
fulfilment of the BBA program. It is a time-bound and independent study
guided by a faculty member.
