VICTORIAN SCHOOL VISITOR

On Tuesday and Wednesday Year 1 and 2 had a visit from a historical

workshop to launch our topic on The Victorians. We travelled back in
time to 1900 where we met Miss Grim the Victorian school teacher. She
helped us learn all about Queen Victoria and what it would have been
like to be a child in those times – including having to work in the mines!
We also met a Victorian maid who told us about her job and what life
was like in a Victorian house. The children really enjoyed the sessions
and they will be using what they have learned in English and History
lessons.

HELP US TO SUPPORT MARIE CURIE

We are again collecting empty tablet strip packs.

Superdrug are working in conjunction with TerraCycle who
will convert the packaging into reusable raw materials
using its unique recycling process – preventing empty packs spending a
lifetime in landfill. What’s more, Superdrug are supporting Mare Curie as
each empty blister packet that gets recycled as part of the ‘Little Packs,
Big Impact’ scheme.

So please help us to support this fantastic charity by bringing your empty

blister packets and dropping them off at the Reception/School Office in
both Key Stage 1 & Key Stage 2 buildings.
