Final Requirement

Louie Jay R. Kilaton BSED-MATH 1

1.) Thoroughly explain the difference among the models of communications. Support your explanation
with examples.

Answer:

The difference between the 3 Models:

1. Linear Communication Model straight line communication no means of immediate feedback.

For example, linear communication could include a speech, a television broadcast, or sending a memo.
Another example, The sender sends the message through some channel such as email, a distributed
video, or an old-school printed memo.

2. Interactive Communication Model allows for a feedback element sender sends the message and the
receiver gives feedback or vice versa.

For example, A human-computer interaction is considered as interactive communication as the model is

circular where the senders interchange every time. Another examples, social
media, interactive marketing and user generated contents, ATM machines, online shopping, chat rooms,
etc are also considered as interactive communication as their model also circular where the senders
interchange every time.

3. Transactional Communication is each communicator can be sender or receiver.

Examples of the transactional model are a face-to-face meeting, a telephone call, a Skype call, a chat
session, interactive training, or a meeting in which all attendees participate by sharing ideas and
comments.

Hello my dear colleagues, friends, newly employed employees.

Good day everyone.

I feel honored today to deliver this short speech as i provide a little lecturing and welcome to our newly
employed employees in this AET Company (Advanced Electronic Technology Company).

We all know the rapid changes we see in technology advancement today as this AET company remain as
top 1 company who have developed and produced top quality technology product than other
technology company.

Today, I speak as the manager of this company and give you a little knowing about what is this company
in the past.

Well, when we were just starting this company struggled a lot as much as I can remember. This company
were once at the bottom. Many of you may curious about how does this company made and remained
at the top now when there are many competitive companies that are ahead of us in the past?

Listen well, newly employed employees as you are the future and the star of this company. The thing
that made this company successful is confidence. Many of you may question, why confidence?

"Confidence creates opportunities" as long as you are confident and believe in yourself, you attract
opportunities that will make you successful later.

That quote itself applied in this company as we poured our sweats, tears, and blood for this company to
become successful.

Now, all of you must be confident in your abilities as you are the key to make this company remain at
the top. Don't forget my teaching and carve it in your mind that confidence creates opportunity and that
opportunity is the key to become successful. Goodluck to all of you, I wish you all the best.

Good morning unifast applicant.

We will now start our UNIFAST SCHOLARSHIP INTERVIEW.

Question 1: Tell me about yourself.

(Louie Jay)Unifast Applicant :

I’m someone who is really passionate about the Mathematics. That’s why I plan on majoring in
Mathematics and becoming an Mathematics Professor one day! I’ve already earned many certifications
in subject mathematics and have gone on a number of mathematics contest. When I have free time, I
really enjoy reading books and cooking.

School Director:

Well done! now, let's move on.

(Louie Jay)Unifast Applicant:

I’d say that my greatest strength is my tenacity. When I do something, I want to do it right, so I’m willing
to put in the time and effort to see it through. Once, for a school project, we had to build a model of an
atom and we chose to build the element hafnium. Hafnium has an atomic number of 72, which meant
the model was going to be huge. The teacher offered to let us switch, but I decided not to. So I stayed
after school for an hour each day for a week to finish it. I’m happy to say I got a high grade on the
project.

School Director: Good job you have a great determination, now let's move on the last and final question,
Why do you deserve this scholarship?

(Louie Jay)Unifast Applicant:

Ever since my little sister couldn't understand their mathematics lesson, I'm teaching her the easy ways
understand her lesson that's why i’ve wanted to become a Mathematics teacher. Private school is
expensive, and this scholarship will help me accomplish my goal of becoming a mathematics teacher and
helping kids like my little sister teaching and making the mathematics lessons easy to understand.

School Director:

Excellent Unifast Applicant, you are now accepted on our UNIFAST SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM.

(Louie Jay)Unifast Applicant: Thank you ma'am/sir, for this wonderful opportunity. I'll work and study
harder to meet your expectations.

4.) Construct your own transactional communication in a round table discussion focusing on the closure
of ABS- CBN franchise.
Answer:

ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION

(Louie Jay) Moderator:

Good morning ladies and gentlemen, and welcome for today's round table discussion. My name is Louie
Jay, I am the chairman for today and it is a great pleasure both to participate in the roundtable
discussion with our guests and to welcome you to this event.

As we all know, ABS-CBN is a Philippine commercial television and new media network, as well as
program distributor that serves as the flagship property of ABS-CBN Corporation, a company under the
Lopez Group.

We have invited you today to discuss and talk about what happened to ABS-CBN franchise and
throughout the discussion we will tackle and brainstorm about ABS-CBN franchise.

So, according to research, the ABS-CBN franchise renewal controversy is a national dispute in the
Philippines regarding the renewal of the congressional franchise that would have allowed Philippine
media network ABS-CBN continued broadcasting rights in the Philippines.

(Louie Jay) MODERATOR Question: What you think is the reason why ABS-CBN couldn't renew their
franchise ?

(Satou) SPEAKER 1 Answer: Ahm.. For me it is the disputes between the government of President
Rodrigo Duterte and ABS-CBN arose on the terms and conditions of the franchise renewal agreement
where results of the denial of their franchise and lead to closure of it.

MODERATOR Question: Why do seems Government of President Duterte is angry about the ABS-CBN
franchise?

(Owie) SPEAKER 2 Answer: Well, according to the meeting Pres. Duterte said that the ABS-CBN has
entertained people and made children happy and he have no problem with that however he also said
now they don’t have a contract they’re renegotiating, don't give me a piece of garbage. President
Duterte maintained that he was opposed to the possible resumption of ABS-CBN’s operations, saying he
could not stomach the network’s previous selling of assets to state-owned Development Bank of the
Philippines at a "higher price". That being said ABS-CBN commit many violations and Pres. Duterte won't
renew their franchise unless they have a contract and clear their violations.

MODERATOR Question: what do you think is the problem of ABS-CBN franchise?

(Lorki) SPEAKER 3 Answer: Well, according to the news and the article that i read the House Committee
on Legislative Franchises rejected ABS-CBN’s bid for a new 25-year franchise due to several issues,
including the dual citizenship of ABS-CBN chairman emeritus Eugenio Lopez III, the possible violation of
the constitutional limits on foreign ownership, reported labor and tax violations, and other violations of
the terms of its franchise.
MODERATOR Question: Since we've discussed a lot about the closure of ABS-CBN franchise, Is it still
possible in the future to renew their franchise again?

(Touya) SPEAKER 4 Answer: Yes, according to what I've researched so far the ABS-CBN will have to wait
until 2022 when the new Congress is elected to apply again for the renewal of its franchise.
