I. Identity

Modern Tech Corp. is an international manufacturing company

specializing in innovation, general contracting, and design-build. Since

then, Modern Tech Corp. has been working and corresponding to the

high ethical standards, which can prove through the enduring quality of

our innovation As well as offer an effective and efficient marketing

solution to address the needs of individuals and companies in

promoting their products and their brand.

II. Problem Worth Solving

We know that architects with a very flexible schedule frequently

have unexpected client meetings. However, it is not always possible to

be prepared or to have the luxury of bringing a bag full of pens. With an

average of nine different types of technical pens required, carrying all

nine of these and a pencil case may be too much for an architect or

engineer who is constantly running back and forth between different

environments such as office, construction site, and the client's meeting

location. That is why we designed a pen, namely the Adjustable Nib

Technical Pen that aspires to be the most practical and

professional-looking product on the market.

The Adjustable Nib Technical Pen will contain all of the pens

required in a drawing in a single shaft, allowing you to always have the

right writing tool at your fingertips. It is an all-in-one pen that does not

require a specific time or location to be used. It will be an ideal pen for

architects and engineers alike.


III. Our Solution

The Adjustable Pen Nib, with its unique features or simply

referred to as innovation, eliminates the need to carry multiple

specialized pieces of equipment while conveniently satisfying a decent

technical drawing. Additionally, it will keep a designer's workspace in a

studio organized and free of pen clutter. An adjustable type pen nib is a

simple mechanism consisting of a dial selector and a series of parts

similar to a conventional pen with a diameter indicator. The Adjustable

Pen Nib is as durable as a traditional pen despite its simplicity.

Therefore, this pen is an ideal solution to the problem.

Furthermore, the Adjustable Nib Technical Pen employs a

mechanism that enables the user to switch between different nib/tip

thicknesses easily. This shortens the drawing/drafting process for

engineers, architects, and students. It takes less time to do this than to

switch between two different pens.

Adjustable Nib Technical pen is a product that seeks to fill a

market void where competitors provide a standard approach to drawing

needs in a perfectly simulated environment (drawing office/studio).

Adjustable Nib Technical Pen aims to provide that flexibility while also

addressing the issue of having to have only the ideal environment to

use similar products.


IV. Target Market

We have identified numerous groups that are potential

consumers; the first group of consumers and the largest share of

consumers comes from the professional design and engineering

industry; this includes architects, engineers, draftsmen, and

draftswomen; additionally, according to our research, consumers

coming from the professional design and engineering industry may also

be interested in variations of our products. Therefore, this interest may

open more product line ups and thus diversify our production. The

second-largest group of consumers may come from the education and

amateur design and engineering category, in here the consumers tend

to adhere to the basic product version instead of having a customized

version of the product; therefore, to cater to this category our company

will have a fixed minimum production throughput for our basic

Adjustable Nib Technical Pen line ups throughout the year and the

largest dedicated manufacturing lines will be for the basic version, this

will provide our company a predictable source of revenue. The third

consumer group is the pen enthusiasts, in this category, it is predicted

that the lowest share of sales will come from the pen enthusiasts, this

includes, product reviewers, pen collectors, DIY builders (Drafting), and

people interested in drawing and illustrating, in this category of the

market it is predicted that the sales will come from both the customized

and the basic line ups of products, however, it is expected that it would

not have a drastic effect on the sales statistic throughout the year.

Summing all these categories will give us the target market. An


advantage which our company gets is that the demand for technical

pens is not dependent on circumstances such as a pandemic or a

financial crisis, since, our product is not a luxury rather is a necessity

coated with luxury. Therefore, for our target market, we have the

professional design and engineering industry accounting for about 40%

of sales, education, and amateur design category with a sales share of

around 50%, and lastly, the pen enthusiasts with a sales share of

approximately 10%.

V. The Competition

Our competitors consist of the stationery industry, specifically,

pen manufacturers focused on technical and professional drawing and

writing tools, these companies include, Rotring, WRICO, Leroy, and

Staedtler.

VI. Sales Channels

We would mainly use the website as a sales channel because it

is inexpensive. When compared to a website, it has many

disadvantages, as opposed to a storefront. Except for site hosting and

technical support, there are no rent or other utility charges directly

related to the business on the website. We are not obliged to design

the store’s interior, obtain interior and outside signage, or purchase

display units. We don't need to hire more people because we can

handle the job on our own. It will help increase our customer base

because many people are online and can quickly view our product.
We, the group, will be first the distributors since we are just

starting, and when our business grows, that will be time for us to look

for new distributors. For us to sell the product, we will first advertise our

product online. When our business grows, our company will be the first

distributor of a 9 in one technical pen, and that will be time for us to

look for new distributors.

Our company will also sell the product through online stores

such as LAZADA and Shopee, which are convenient for customers

and the company.

VII. Marketing Activities

For us to sell the product, we will first advertise our product

online. If someone is interested, they can contact us, and we will work

out a deal with them. We would also create a local phone number and

the said website and platform, so those interested in our product may

still contact us. Furthermore, to attract more people interested in our

product, one of our marketing strategies might involve creating pages

and advertisements on social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter,

and Instagram, as well as commercials on YouTube. In addition, the

company group will provide informative videos and instructions on how

to use the product appropriately so that the customer/s confusion

would be addressed and also for them to have a better understanding

of the product. By simply doing this strategic analysis/plan, it might help

us promote and boost our product’s sales in the market industry that

will lead our product and company to success.


VIII. Revenues

This project will be gaining its revenue by selling the product. Our

primary revenue stream is by making our product the Technical Nib

Pen available on multiple platforms and accessible to those who are

interested. Including our own website, multiple online selling platforms

such as Shoppe and Lazada, and finally through physical stores like

Powerbooks and National bookstores.

IX. Expenses (Ramos)

a. Production costs - will be included in the payment for the

material's construction, testing, and delivery.

b. Product Advertisement - to enhance direct sales by informing

consumers about our product.

c. Raw materials - the materials used to build our product, such

as metal alloy, plastics, and inks.

d. Employee Salaries - to increase the production of our product

and grow our business, we need employees.

e. Business Licenses and Permit - to ensure the legality of

product or business.

X. Milestones (Justo)

a. Reduce business expenditure – reducing the debts, using

more technology, and other things we as a company can do to

reduce the costs.

b. Increase Market Share - It is a vital element in making the firm

more competitive and more profitable to capture a significant

share of the market.


c. Increase your website or blog traffic - More traffic on the

Website frequently results in more sales and loyalty to

customers.

d. Reconstruct your business plan – This will be done if the

business blooms or vice versa.

e. Open up a new location – Expanding the business more not

just selling the product online but also selling it to a brand new

store.

XI. Team and Key Roles

a. Production Line Supervisor - The tasks will involve the

effective implementation of a busy production environment,

reports from KPI, supervision of a workforce of about 25, and

the completion of all health and safety protocols.

b. Technical Manager - The Technical Manager shall ensure that

all products meet the quality criteria, that they interact with

regulators, that good housekeeping and hygiene standards are

respected, manage health and safety systems, enforce KPI

performance, review and maintain programs, deal with customer

complaints, ensure that hygiene and all other audits are

performed and that all other audits are carried out.

c. Manufacturing Supervisor - Responsible for personnel rotas

plan and organization, machinery reporting, inventory

management, and procurement supply, ensuring your team

meets production objectives, quality control and writing reporting


quality controls, updated documentation such as holiday and

sick leave requests, and training for workers.

d. Quality Assurance Technicians - In order to ensure machined

components are within tolerance limits and that the quality

assurance technicians use methods like no-damage testing,

handling customer feedback and complaints, evaluating the

suppliers, reviewing policies, and producing reports for quality

managers, which is responsible for monitoring each step of the

production process.

e. Prof. Madylaine Delfin (Adviser) – advising the company on

how the plans work.

XII. Partners and Resources (Neerom)

a. Steel Asia Philippine- Since our product will be using a

metal-based casing to enclose all of its parts and provide the

premium feel, High-grade metal alloy (Chromium) will use. Our

main suppliers for metal raw materials like Chromium as well as

stainless steel parts will be Steel Asia Philippines. Steel Asia is

one of the well-known steel manufacturers in the Philippines,

they offer technological solutions that has enabled Steel Asia to

produce the full specification range of rebar products, creating a

one-stop-shop service

b. Sanko Plastics Philippines Inc. - Sanko Plastics Philippines

Inc provides the material handling solutions for your business.

They design, manufacture, and sell plastic crates, containers,

trolleys, and pallets for the specific needs of businesses. They


are affiliated with many plastic products manufacturing

companies. They offer a mold design and fabrication facility, the

largest of its kind in the Philippines, that can work with us to

develop the products for our specific requirements. They will be

our main suppliers of plastic parts mainly of Polypropylene

copolymer and Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) which is used

in our product.

c. Easyinks Germany - One of the main factors in the criteria of

quality of our product is the quality of the ink that the pen

produces. We have partnered with Easyinks which is a

Germany-based ink company to provide the necessary ink

supply for our products. They offer outstanding quality according

to European standards. All ingredients (raw materials) and of

course, our final ink (finished product) are subject to constant

(strict) quality control directly in-house. Since they are directly

delivered from the manufacturers, they can quickly process your

requests in-house and without delay.

d. CareworX Services Inc. Janitorial Agency - CareworX will

handle the Janitorial and Custodial responsibilities, they offer

industry-competitive janitorial, maintenance, engineering, and

architectural works and services rates in exchange for quality

and satisfactory services. Since the company focuses on

manufacturing, It was best to partner with a cleaning service

agency that offers general building maintenance which can


make sure the production spaces are well-maintained

and highly functional

e. Integrated Waste Management Inc. (IWM) - Integrated Waste

Management Inc. (IWMI) is considered one of the best

candidates for the responsibilities of waste disposal. IWMI is an

environmental service company that operates with the objective

of providing quality waste management services and products.

They possess industrial-grade waste management capabilities

while producing eco-friendly products from waste materials.

f. Geojet Logistics Services, Inc- Geojet Logistics Services, Inc

will handle the necessary transportation and logistics of both

manufacturing, delivery, and other contributing processes,

Industrial & Transport Equipment Inc offers the needed services

for the company’s transportation needs Just located in Metro

Manila, it can easily reach different parts of the Luzon Region

with minimal difficulties In terms of logistics. It can provide us

with the hauling and delivery service needed from and to any

point in the Philippines. From key cities to the islands.

g. Dark horse security agency, Inc - For the security of the

facilities, Dark horse security agency will provide the needed

personnel for the safety of the facilities as well as the workers.

Dark horse security agency was duly registered with the

Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC), they can offer

security surveys and assess premises to determine potential

security threats, hazards, and vulnerabilities and recommend


appropriate security countermeasures to reduce or eliminate

said weaknesses. They also maintain a team of mobile
