ADDRESSING TEACHERS CHALLENGE DUE TO COVID THROUGH SYNCHRONOUS AND ASYNCHRONOUS LEARNING

E. OUTCOMES
It has a great impact of having both synchronous and asynchronous learning
for the students. For instance, we were having an online class where they feel a
greater sense of community and connection to their peers when they all learn
together. When shy students have time to compose well-thought-out emails rather
than being pressed to speak up in a live conference, they may feel more at ease
talking with their professor or colleagues. Most important, students become more
engaged in their learning.
F. REFLECTIONS
I think the best thing that I can do during this crisis, is to make myself
available whenever my students need my input and help. As teachers, let’s be
compassionate and promote humanize education amidst this pandemic because
teaching is an act of love, care and support. We must be resilient enough in
embracing the new normal in education. We must be flexible in adapting the
current trends in teaching and learn new apps that will be used to connect to 21 st
century learners. I realize that, extending help, even just virtually, to our learners
will somehow, make a difference.
