Backstory: It is said that the Miwok tribe was once grand and powerful a shining example of prosperity in the wastelands highly
attuned to the land and the ancestor spritis. Through decades of hardships; disease, bandit raids, changing climates/
foodsources and infighting the tribe splintered into smaller groups scattered across the lands. Hahkethomemah was born into a
splintered tribe and always had a restless mind keen to explore. He developed the gift of communing with the elder spirits which
was seen as a blessing. The ancestors call warn that there are difficult times ahead the ancient spirits still tied to the land weep
in pain and turmoil and this will only get worse. Seeing each crop harvest become harder and the livestock thin,
Hahkethomemah took it upon himself to find new promised land where the whole tribe can survive and prosper.

Early on in his journey while exploring he "scrounged" some food and equipment that belonged to a wealthy cow-baron. Caught
by his men and put to the gallows it was one bright eyed charismatic person saw value in Hahkethomemah. He talked so
whimsically of his grand dream to become king of the sand pirates and spring Hahkethomemah now named "Hawk" free. Bound
to this man by a life debt Hawk Cap. Nar Nor to the sand pirates.

Hawk is a rather bitter man. Learning the way of nature and the spirits he sees the other beings other than the fellow tribesman
as evil and the cause of the world scar which seeps out the poison which overflows into the lands. The stories tell of a land
before times as fertile where everyone lived intune with the land and the spirits. He views uplifts however as spirits that have
returned to mortal flesh because of some great purpose / unfinished business. Some uplift spirits have returned to protect
nature and the land itself while others are formed through the great chaos and pain reflected in the spirit world from the material.
These spirits have experienced great pain and returned to the material world to lash out at any and all around.
