organization.

INTRODUCTION TO TCS (PVT) LTD.

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN EMPLOYER AND WORKER

Develop
A new worker when joins the organization is passed to the H.R. officer who introduced the new
worker and gives orientation about the organization.

Maintain.
For the smooth retention of relationship between employer and worker Team leader play its
role.

Manage
Whenever any dispute arises between employer and worker; the line manager take up the
matter to resolve with the coordination of departmental head if the matter is not resolve it
goes to the H.R. department.

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN WORKERS

Develop
A new worker when joins the organization develops his/her relationship with other workers in
the supervision of team leader. The team leader ensures good relationship between workers in
the development stage to avoiding any type of injustice to the new worker.

Maintain.
Relationship between workers in the organization is maintained by team leader through his
control and directions. There is a sequence system working environment as one team job is
dependent on the completion of work by another team so team leader ensures the continuity
of work between workers to avoid construction of any problem in terms of workers
relationship.

Manage
The team incharge has the basic role in TCS in managing relationship between workers. When
dispute arises in any department between workers Team in-charge takes control of the
situation and try to resolve the problem, if problem occurs in a same department due to
injustice between senior and junior workers i.e. senior workers desire to go on easy task which
often results high turnover. There is a role of team incharge who politely deal amongst the
senior and junior workers.

UNIONIZATION OF WORKERS.

The workers of this organization are not allowed to unite and create any trade union for their
representation and to develop platform for their completion of demands. Another reason of no
trade union in TCS is the offices are so much scattered at different location of the country even
in one city. A threat of dismissal is given to the worker or group of workers who desire to create
the trader union.

On the basis of above mentioned data it is clearly seen that the workers of TCS performing their
duties in very stressful environment.
HEALTH, SAFETY AND BENEFITS.

There is first aid provided through employer in case of any accident or misshape. 100% workers
are covered through East West Life insurance Company. 75% medical expense bear by the
insurance company and rest of 25% bear by the worker in case of the hospitalization. There is
sufficient number of fire extinguishers placed in the offices. There are enough emergency exits
also. Recently TCS installed water purifying plant through which mineral water supplied at all
offices throughout the country.

There are 100% workers registered with EOBI.

ROLE OF IRO

In TCS all the data I have gathered reflects that there is a partial role of IRO in this organization
according to the Industrial Relationship Ordinance 2002 as in this organization there is no trade
union but all workers registered with EOBI. Health and safety facilities provided to the workers
are satisfactory.

Still there is a room of improvement in the organization in terms of IRO role in terms of creation of trade
union.
