Introduction:
Food plays a vital role in every culture and civilization on the planet. Most individuals ate fresh, home-
cooked food until the last century. Eating was a procedure that necessitated some preparation. However,
we now notice that kids favor fast food like pizza, hamburgers, and fried chicken. These fast-food outlets
have grown commonplace on our streets, and people of all ages frequent them. These restaurants have
grown in popularity around the world. Fast food is popular for a variety of reasons, and it also has some
major consequences for persons and society.

Cause:
What made fast food so popular in the last century, is the main question. One explanation is that this is
due to a change in lifestyle in compared to before. It encourages workers or individuals to eat quick food
rather than prepare their own meals.
Two working parents, for example, are a good example of this. They don't have time to cook for their
children or for themselves because of their employment. As a result, rather than cooking, people prefer to
order from these fast food eateries. This is why they choose fast food than home-cooked meals.
Long working hours can also lead to people eating outside the home, which is another reason for fast food
consumption. In our cities, there are a lot of fast-food restaurants. McDonald's, Burger King, Pizza Hut,
and other fast food restaurants are among them. From these restaurants, we could construct a long list
with hundreds of names. We've seen a lot of commercials and promotions for those establishments in the
last few years. However, why do they spend so much money to advertise inefficient food? What are the
reasons behind this? The simple answer is that fast food is simple to prepare. Cooking it does not take
long, and it is readily available in your hands. Shareholders in these companies have a stake in the
company, own objectives, namely, the income generated by these businesses.

Effect:

We've seen the factors that may have contributed to the fast-food industry's growth. What matters more,
though, are the consequences for society and human beings? The most significant consequence of fast
food on humans is that it can put your health in jeopardy. To begin, we must state that fast food can result
in vitamin deficiencies, which can lead to sickness. One of the negative effects of fast food on the human
body is obesity. Obesity occurs as a result of fast food's ability to nourish the body with fats. As a result,
people will become less healthy, effective, and productive, which is the end result of obesity.

Another negative consequence of fast food's popularity is the loss of the family tradition of eating
together. Because the family used to eat together, they had the opportunity to talk about their daily
concerns with one another. Fast food has an impact on a family's finances as well. The bottom line is that
fast food is more expensive than home-cooked meals.
Conclusion:

Finally, it may be claimed that fast food arose from our cultures' modern way of life. Unfortunately, it has
negative consequences for the human body and health. It also has additional detrimental implications on a
family's finances. It would be great if people avoided eating fast food as much as possible.
