Optomi, in partnership with a national leader for data center and cloud services, is seeking a (EMC) Cloud
Storage Engineer for their Suwanee, GA location. The Cloud Storage Engineer will be customer focused
and team oriented with a broad-based knowledge, experience, and hands-on skill installing and managing
fibre channel (FC & iSCSI) SAN storage arrays, FC SAN switches, replication and performing SAN client
installations in a leading data center environment. Successful candidates must have a solid understanding
of standard major operating systems, applications, and networking. Proven ability to analyze and perform
problem resolution with an emphasis on customer satisfaction. Advanced skills in understanding a
customer’s requirements, identify deficiencies and potential opportunities, and develop innovative solutions
for customers. Ability to analyze hardware and software tools and develop products and managed services
for data center customers.

Support design, operation, work flow and issue resolution for the Storage infrastructure
Installation/Deprovision of Storage for customers
Support sales and work with Customers to design storage solutions within the managed service
toolset
Problem analysis and resolution of storage support issues working with Help Desk Ticket System
Participate in functional test planning and testing for the assigned functional area(s) or project(s)
Participate in problem solving and troubleshooting for the assigned task(s), functional area(s) or
project(s)
Develop and maintain storage documentation, procedures, SOPs, and reporting
Provide weekly status reports on individual projects and tasks
Perform maintenance for Storage infrastructure
Review new technologies and participate in product development
Share knowledge by effectively documenting work
Install, configure, setup and maintain FC and iSCSI storage arrays and storage related hardware
and software in a managed services environment
Installation and configuration of storage hosts
Problem analysis and resolution of storage support issues working with Help Desk Ticket System
Ability to work with customers and maintain a professional attitude and provide exceptional
customer service
Participate in on-call rotation of 24x7 support and be flexible in availability as needed
Perform internal training of storage services
Travel as required to support remotes site, estimated to be less than 10%
