Each device furnished under this specification shall be suitable for continuous 24 hours
per day, 7 days per week, 52 weeks per year, operation in a dusty or wet atmosphere
containing grit and micron sized particles and shall perform satisfactorily under
environmental and operating conditions specified in the attached solenoid valves

The solenoid valves shall be designed for continuous operation at the elevation and
ambient temperature range detailed in the Section 4, “Información específica de
terreno de Collahuasi” of the Material Requisition.

Each instrument shall be Bidder’s standard, heavy duty, field proven designed with a
record of successful operation in industrial environments as required for the application
specified.

Solenoid valves shall operate with fresh water regulating the pressure for pumps seal
water.

The coil of solenoid shall be operate with a control voltage 120 VAC, 50 Hz. three wires,
grounded, single phase shall be available from a field distribution board that to be
located at the nearest Electrical Room. Supply line voltage variation ± 10% and ± 2%
frequency variation can be encountered.

The connection wires shall be clearly marked with red color for phase, with for neutral,
and green for neutral if the bitter do not have this codification, he shall be to show a
clearly codification for the wires in him catalogs or other certificated information.

The enclosures shall be waterproof and dust proof and shall comply with NEMA 4,
NEMA 4X according to data sheets.

Electrical area classification shall be non-hazardous unless otherwise is stated in the

data sheets.
