Blessings and Burdens of Mega Trend in the Global Village

Today civilization upgrades faster and the change in lifestyle is evident than before,

people are building cities and industrialization institutions are rapidly growing. At the same time

people lives become easier because of the help of the new machines that were built.

Also, people are migrating from the provinces towards the cities for work, life stocks, and

education which leads to the decrease of population in the provinces. In the cities these thirst of

the people is being filled, in the cities, there are many job opportunities and universities for the

education for the youth.

Behind that progress and advancement in the cities, we should also bear the sorrow fact

that there are also bad effects and unpleasing facts. Within the cities we can see many poor

people, most of them come from the provinces hoping for a better life, instead they were stuck

inside the cities, poorer than their life in the province. Another sorrowing fact is that the garbage

in the cities is becoming larger because of the big population, which result of having flood prone

areas within the cities because of the poor drainage systems and the garbages blocking those

drainages.

We should always remember that progress and advancement is good, but we should also

accept the sorrowing fact of the negative effects of the progress. Some people are becoming

poorer because of the advancement. The challenge now is how we can minimize the problem of

poverty in the advancement.
