Q1. Why do people want to control weather?


They try to control the environment in order to feel comfortable.

Q2. What is the difference between climate and weather.


Weather is a result of atmospheric conditions at a certain place and time. Climate is the
result of average atmospheric conditions in a certain region over a long period of time.

Q3. Name the factors that affect the weather condition.


These factors are the temperature, the wind, slope of the land, height.

Q4..How can special glass domes benefit holiday makers?


In warm weather the glass domes opens to let fresh air in and in cold weather the dome
closes to keep the warmth inside.

Q5. How would your life be different if you control the weather?
If I could control the weather I would not have to worry about the natural disasters. 
I would make weather adequate for farming so we wouldn't have to worry about people
starving around the world.
 I would make sure that sufficient rain water is stored for the crops to grow. 

Q6. What is micro climate?


The climate of a very small or restricted area, especially when this differs from
the climate of the surrounding area is called micro climate

Q7. Why do high mountains have snow on them throughout the year?
Air cools 1 degree centigrade with a rise of every 100 to 150
metres in height. Thus with the increase in height , high mountains
have snow on them throughout the year.

Q8. Why are cities and towns warmer than the countryside at night?
Cities and towns are warmer than the surrounding countryside at
night because the buildings give off the heat which the concrete
blocks have absorbed during the day.

Q9. Why do crops grow well in the south facing slopes?


Crops grow well on the south facing slopes as they are sheltered
from the cold winds and the sunlight warms up the air.
