Let’s take a look at the features and benefits that add to increased productivity for your

customers. Performance is important to your customers. The most money is made when
your customer moves the most material at the lowest cost per ton.

With the E-Series trucks you’ll see:

•A high power-to-weight ratio
•Strong braking and retardation
•Fast cycle times, contributed by:
•Fast acceleration
•High gradeability
•Semi-independent suspension

With features like these including full time six-wheel-drive, an ADT is a very versatile
machine and is an excellent choice for hauling various materials in virtually any condition.

There are several ways that IT4 technology in the ADTs can provide more
productivity for your customer.
There is no operator input required for on-the-fly filter cleaning, allowing for
maintained performance and more time spent in production rather than servicing the
machine. In general, the harder the machine is run, the higher the exhaust
temperature, and the more passive cleaning occurs. Both passive and active
cleaning can occur automatically, or on-the-fly.
Series turbocharging allows for higher boost at lower RPM, increasing machine
performance in a wide range of engine conditions including high altitude.
Assemblies are robotically welded, then bored in machining cells for highest
accuracies in component mounting such as the engine, transmission, transfer case
and axles.
Before assembly of other components, welded assemblies are chemically cleaned,
primed with polyurethane, then coated with high solids urethane paint.

18
Six-wheel-drive ADTs perform best when they are built light, unloaded and loaded. No
extra weight to haul on every cycle to and from your destinations.
ADTs are great performers on inclines and slippery surfaces when they have evenly
loaded axles with equal torque split to each axle. The Adaptive Suspension Control
System allows the suspension to adapt to terrain, and give great ground clearance. That
is why the John Deere E-Series ADTs offer the best off-road performance in their
individual classes.

22
Operators and their trucks get a very comfortable ride over smooth and rough terrain. The
oil-nitrogen strut’s dampening effect from the Adaptive Suspension Control System
improves ride quality in slow speed and rough terrain conditions.

The rear suspension gives high vertical wheel movement and components allow the
machine to go through muddy areas without pulling all the mud through the suspension
system.

23
Operator comfort is important to customers. Comfortable operators increase their
productivity throughout the day.
The E-Series cab provides many comfort-related features including:
•A modern automotive style cab with Sealed Switch Module controls
•A powerful climate control system
•And lower sound levels

24
The features in the operator’s station include:

•An air ride, heated seat with:

•Fore and aft seat adjustments,
•Height and weight adjustments
•Adjustable armrests with no tools required
•High, wide backrest with built-in lumbar support
•Adjustable headrest with raise, lower, tilt. Or just slide it off if you don’t need it.
•A large cup holder near the operator’s right hand
•An insulated heated or cooled compartment

25
When crossing water-filled ditches or hauling through mud, an operator will activate
the inter-axle differential lock to maximize traction. You don’t want to use this
feature on finished surfaces as it slows the machine down, increases driveline and
tire wear and marks up your finished surfaces.

Differential lock can be engaged on SSM A2 or on-the-fly by holding down the

switch on the cab floor to the left of the brake pedal.

While it is engaged, the operator is reminded by a beep every 60 seconds.

26
Our customers want to improve cycle times and increase production. That’s why
customers have asked for control features which cut seconds from each cycle and
improves overall productivity with features that maximize truck control.
It’s easy for the owner to improve cycle times on less-than-level worksites by
enabling “Downhill Tip” in the monitor’s Service menu. The machine will reduce the
overall dump angle by the amount of slope of the machine. The operator can then
get only 70 degrees of dump body tip relative to true horizontal.

27
The operator can easily maximize control of the material and his truck’s cycle times
by selecting dump body controls to match his application. The operator can select
the function on the Sealed Switch Module.

Refer to the Operator’s Manual for information on how to use the load spreading
feature.

28
Customers bid their jobs at a dollars per cubic yard figure, and now with On Board
Weighing, customers can monitor their cubic yard figures closer than ever. With the
standard light bar, the loading tool operator can monitor payload status to optimize
performance.

29
Customers can track actual productivity with the On Board Weighing system. Take
a moment to review the JDLink report shown here. Notice the possibilities for an
owner to monitor operator performance and to uncover possible trends that improve
or reduce productivity.
