A. Motivation
“Before we start our interesting topic, I
will play short video entitled “We are the
World” and all you need to do is to take a
look for your partner. You have only 2
minutes to look for your partner. After
you watched the video clip that I will
present on you, you will make an essay
with your partner but with a twist. In the
jump board you will make 2-3 sentences
about the video, it can be your insights,
thoughts, observation on the video or the
descriptions that you gathered while
watching the video. Here is the twist, each
of your answer must be combined to the
answer of other groups to construct 1 or
more than 1 paragraph. The answers on
the jump board should not be repeated. “Yes ma’am”
you have only 10 minutes to do this
activity after the video presentation. Am I (The students will watch the video)
making myself clear?”
“If that so, then let’s watch now the (Mr. Tibig will answer)

1. Argumentative Essays
An argumentative essay is a piece of writing that
presents a extended, evidence-based case. It
necessitates a strong thesis statement a well-
defined position on your subject. Your goal is to
use evidence (such as quotations) and analysis to
persuade the reader of your position.

2. Expository
-An expository essay is a piece of writing that
provides a balanced analysis of a subject. In an
expository essay, the writer uses facts, data, and
examples to illustrate or clarify a topic.
Expository writing includes a variety of essay
types, including comparison and contrast essays,
cause and effect essays, and “how to” or process
essays. Expository essays do not show emotions
or write in the first person because they are based
on facts rather than personal feelings.

3. Narrative Essays
- A narrative essay is a piece of writing in which
the author narrates a tale about a personal event.

4. Descriptive Essays
- A descriptive essay uses words to create a
picture, or it paints a picture with words. It gives
a sensory description of something in precise
detail. A writer might describe a person, a place,
an object, or even a memorable memory. The
goal of a descriptive essay is to convey a deeper
meaning through description. Through the use of
vivid language and sensory elements, the writer
should show, not tell, in a descriptive essay. The
finest descriptive essays appeal to the reader's
emotions, producing an evocative effect.
