2. Auxiliary function – The auxiliary function refers to the secondary preferences that are
not so well developed, yet influence the person’s innate nature to a considerable extent.
It plays a supporting role in the dominant functions.

3. Tertiary function – These functions are not so well developed and are contradictory to
the auxiliary function. For example: If your auxiliary function is sensing, your tertiary
function will be intuition.

4. Inferior function – The inferior function operates at the unconscious level. When stress
dominates your psyche, you may seem to disintegrate and behave in certain ways that
are not usual for you.
