I. Executive Summary

JEDS N’ JAVATO company food manufacturing business located at


Balutu Concepcion Tarlac offering an Iced Coffee Jelly and named Javato, the
small business is owned by seven students from grade eleven in Anastacio G.
Yumul High School.

It aims to provide customers high quality products while having a goal to


generate profit. The company’s sales projection assumed to have increased 150
customers per month which is based from the number of products to be made.
With the capital of P24,000, for the puto we can get the total sales of P60,000 and
for the coffee we can get P21,000 per month. The monthly profit will be used to
increase the number of goods for the following months of manufacturing.

Our market share is expected to grow by 20% which means there will be
additional 150 customer who will patronize our product each month,

II. Company Summary

A. Company Profile

JEDS N’ JAVATO is a food business company located at Balutu, Concepcion,

Tarlac. The products it offers are Iced coffee jelly and puto. It was established on

December 06, 2018 which aims to provide high quality, tasty but affordable products.

It is currently under the supervision as limited partnership of Dexter Delamines

and Joanne Samson as the heads of the company. Together with the other company staffs

Jeanwhill Sigua, Nicole Tiglao, Sophia Palma, Joedi Mangila and Eunise Reyes.

Vision

To be the superior distributor of coffee drinks and delicacies in every

school in Tarlac Province.

Mission

To provide our customers’ needs for delicious coffee drinks and puto, especially

the people living in Tarlac while generating profit for the continuous development of the

business. We will continue to serve our customers with full determination and

willingness to meet and exceed their expectations.

B. Product Description

Javato are energy boosting food products that will surely satisfy your cravings and

hunger but won’t make your pocket empty. Best when you feel tired, dull, and stress

Javato is a combination of Java (a tree that produces coffee beans) and puto. As a

drink, the company offers Iced coffee jelly that is rich in several nutrients which helps to

lowered the risk of different types of cancers (mouth, throat, and liver cancer). It also

metabolizes fatty acids which reduces the risk of heart diseases. Lastly, Iced coffee jelly

is a good energy boosting beverage as it contains caffeine that awakes senses and helps

our brain to easily generate ideas and makes us smarter. While puto, is mainly made up of

nutritious ingredients such as eggs which is rich in protein, and flour that is rich in

carbohydrates which is the main source of energy that helps the body to function well

especially the brain. Both of the products contain several vitamins and minerals that

benefits the body. Also, the products are delicious, tasty, affordable and trendy.

A. Target Market

a.1 Geographic Market

The company’s target market are all the students from grade 7 to grade 12 in

Anastacio G. Yumul High School located at Balutu, Concepcion, Tarlac.

The company’s target market are all the students; both male and female without

age limit, and who has an allowance ranging from Php 20.00 and above.

a.3 Psychographic Market

The company’s target market are the students who are looking for foods that will

surely boost their energy for the day.

The company has three main competitors or rivals. These are the two-

school’s canteen, other students and outside sellers/vendors.

School Canteens advantage is that they sell large number of goods and

varieties of products that can accommodate all the students but they are lack

of new food offers because they offer cyclical food items, and the products are

pricey and the service is slow.

Second, the students’ entrepreneur; they also offer unique and affordable

products that are new to the market but the company is confident that its

marketing strategy is way better than the others. Lastly, the outside

sellers/vendors; they sell affordable street-foods and drinks but the

environment is unsanitary bringing risk to the health of its customers.

In specific terms, our company offers more benefits and advantages

compared to the existing food businesses. We offer high quality food that is

affordable. Most importantly our product is a food trend, delicious and

nutritious.

VI. Marketing Plan

A. Marketing Strategy

The company will introduce the products through social media posting.

The products will be posted on the company’s official Facebook and

Instagram accounts. In order to attract more customers, the team will also be

giving flyers or leaflets around the school premises. Also, sales talk and verbal

promotion will be done to the customers that will be headed by the marketing

team. Company’s marketing channel are in two ways; the first one is the

customer personally purchasing the product, and the other way is pre-ordering

through social media chatting or in telephone.

B. Pricing Strategy

The total variable cost of our production is Php 2,096.6 and the other cost

is Php 350.00. The total cost of our production is Php 2,447.2 and made 150

pcs of Iced coffee jelly and 70 pcs servings of puto. To get the break-even

point selling price (BEPSP) add the variable cost and other cost then divide it

by the quantity of the output product. The company’s BEPSP for puto is Php

10.92 and for Iced coffee jelly is Php 11.21. We will sell puto for 15 pesos

while 20 pesos for the Iced coffee jelly. By dividing the profit to the unit cost

and multiplying it to 100, the mark up for Iced coffee jelly is 78.41% and for

puto is 37.36%.

BEPSP = other cost + variable cost / quantity

= 150 + 1532.6 /150

= 1682.6/150

=11.21

= profit / unit cost

= 8.79/11.21

=78.41%
