Lesson SUGGEST WAYS TO ADDRESS

11 SOCIAL INEQUALITIES

Social Inequality is the existence of unequal opportunities and rewards for different social
positions or statuses within a group of society.
Social stratification doesn’t only involved people within a single country but also in
worldwide pattern (Global Stratification)
In all field, equality is a myth. An individual cannot be equal to another in numerous
customs. Leader will always be superior to his followers. Not all of us can be the King or
Queen. What is desired is equality of chances to every individual to have an occupation or
other means of support for its livelihood, so as to live a comfortable life. The unfortunate
family should have opportunity for education (free education) , space to live and access to
free health care, so their basic necessities are met.
Some of the suggested ways to address social inequality are the following:
1. Prioritizing poverty issue
2. Pro – Poor
3. Participatory Decision – Making
4. Action Promotion
5. Political Dynasty Issue
6. Revision of Constitution
7. Anti-discrimination Law
