Persons who are entering the school compound will first have their temperature
taken with a contactless wall- mounted infra red thermometer.
Once the temperature reading is below 37.5 degrees Celsius, and does not portray
any flu like symptoms, persons will wash their hands with the provided utilities.
Designated area for persons who are higher than 37.5 degrees to shade for 5
minutes, then rechecked.
After the temperature check, persons will have to provide some information in a
stationed log book. It entails information such as name, address, contact number,
temperature reading and ID card number.
Once that procedure is completed, persons will have permission to move beyond
the security booth.

What is Coronavirus COVID- 19?

The disease caused by the novel coronavirus, first identified in Wuhan, China,
has been named coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) – ‘CO’ stands for
corona, ‘VI’ for virus, and ‘D’ for disease. Formerly, this disease was referred to
as ‘‘2019 novel coronavirus’ or ‘2019-nCoV.’’
The COVID-19 virus is a new virus linked to the same family of viruses as
Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) and some types of common cold.

Persons not wearing a mask can be fined from $1000 to $5000 and even appearing
in court.
Persons entering the school who is NOT attired with a mask on will not be able to
enter the school compound. In the case of students, the school will administer one.
The face mask must be properly worn, it must cover your nose and mouth at all
times. The mask must not be worn to cover your mouth only.
Remember the idea behind wearing a mask is to minimise the spread of droplets
via coughing and sneezing.

At some point in time, the face mask will be off by both students or teachers.
This will only happen while eating or in other special circumstances such as a
medical problem etc.
Respiratory etiquette in school includes covering the mouth and nose during
coughing or sneezing, with a tissue or a flexed elbow.
It is important to properly dispose the used tissues in a waste bin, followed by
proper washing of the hands with soap and water by designated hand washing
stations.

Hand washing: Wash hands often with soap and warm water
for at least 20 seconds, especially after coughing or sneezing.
Stay home when sick: Students should tell parents if they are
not feeling well.
