1. How through the National Service Training Program help you appreciate the assumption of your role
in nation-building?

NSTP helps me to appreciate my role in nation building in the way that it encourages me to do more. As
we can see today’s happenings, the youths’ really need to prepare the sake of future aspiration and to
prepare for next set of leaders with the challenges of national reconciliation and development. Because
just also the NSTP is specifically designed to enhance the youth’s active contribution to the general
welfare.

2. What is NSTP? How and why was it conceived and included in the College Curriculum?

NSTP refers to the program aimed at enhancing civic consciousness and defense preparedness in the
youth, by developing the ethics of service and patriotism while undergoing training in any of the three
program components, specifically designed to enhance the youth’s active contribution to the general
welfare.
Under the NSTP Program, both male and female college students of any baccalaureate degree course or
technical vocational course in public or private educational institutions are obliged to undergo one of
three program components for an academic period of two semesters. The students, however, are free
to choose which particular program component to take. Because it builds a sense of patriotism to the
individuals. You also learn teamwork and loyalty. And NSTP addresses the need for national program of
youth development and mobilization for the task of nation building.

4. What makes you unique? Explain?

I thinks what makes me unique is I have a strong of self-worth and I don’t need anyone’s approval or
validation. And also what makes me special is saying that we are all unique and different that I am not
afraid to be different. I know who I am and I know what I want to become. My life is unique and I can
make it mine.

5. What makes one truly beautiful? Do you consider yourself beautiful? Why?

I believe that we can really call someone a beauty if she/he is God-fearing. Yes, I consider myself as
beautiful because God is with me and I am God-fearing. I consider that as my definition of beauty
because when we are in Gods’ side, everything in us will be beautiful. And also because He, Himself is
beauty.

6. What is good leadership? How do you describe yourself as a good leader?

A good leadership is having the ability to innovate and make good decisions, respect individual rights
and having the ability to listen and to be open on others suggestions. As a leader, I am a good listener
and communicator. I listen to other that may generate new ideas. I can be a leader and a follower at the
same time.
