COURSE DESCRIPTION
The School of Arts and Sciences aims to develop desirable qualities of professionals by giving sufficient knowledge in
various disciplines that will contribute to the enrichment of existing national effort in the transformation process towards
culture of peace and development in the ASEAN region.
● Design practical & functional curricula supported by strong domestic and international linkages that ensure high
quality education and professional training for employment and career advancement;
● Prepare hospitality industry leaders with personal integrity guided by ethical standards in the advocacy of social
justice and equity characterized by honesty, courtesy, humility and responsibility;
● Formulate programs that would produce holistic individuals ready to cope with the challenges of the changing
demands of the hospitality and tourism industry.
● Inculcate among HRM Family the love of God, countrymen, family, and strong sense of patriotism.
The School of Arts and Sciences particularly Hospitality Management commits to develop globally competitive
graduates with a high sense of desirable values dedicated to the promotion of a just humane society.
This subject defines the manager’s terrain and welcomes the students to the fast changing world of
management. This course invites the student into a fun journey of the four managerial functions: planning,
organizing, implementing and controlling. The field of management is differentiated from emerging
discipline of leadership from the point of view of the instructor.

At the end of the semester, students are expected to:
