FEATURE ARTICLE “WORLD TEACHERS DAY”

The Local Government of Peñablanca, headed by its Municipal Mayor Honorable Washington
Taguinod, commemorate the World Teachers Month Celebration with theme “Teachers at the
heart of education recovery” through providing covid kits for all teachers in Peñablanca.
Today is International Teachers' Day. It is "a day originally observed by the United Nations
Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization in 1994 dedicated to appreciating, evaluating,
and strengthening the world's educators." This internationally recognized day honors teachers all
across the world for their dedication to children and education.
Teaching profession is the noblest profession and the best career one person may ever have.
Without teaching profession, doctors, attorneys, judges, architecture and other known profession
would not be in existence. Teaching career is very much demanding, our country needs a huge
number of teachers that will serve the country especially now that our education landscape had
been reformed. Teaching does not only mean that you have to focus on enhancing your student
skills, talents and intellectual capacity but you also need to be flexible and alert in terms of
identifying ones weaknesses and strengths. You become a model and a second parent of the
community that’s why you should be extra careful to all your decisions, the way you talk and act
and how you socialized yourself to others.
As I considered the significance of this day, it occurred to me that the days we have set aside to
recognize the contributions of specific groups of people – days like Mother's Day, Father's Day,
Administrative Assistant's Day – are days dedicated to acknowledging how much these groups of
people do throughout the year, usually for children who take them for granted.
When I considered why we go to such lengths to recognize these groups of people, I discovered
that we set aside these days to honor those jobs and professions that allow one to make a positive
difference in the lives of others. World Teachers' Day allows us to reflect on the remarkable and
vital role that teachers play in the lives of children and the adults they grow into.
Believe that teaching is the only profession that could either make or unmake your students
future and that you need to put an effort and patience to accomplish your mission.
COVID VACCINATION
Now that effective COVID-19 vaccinations have been produced and are being delivered to the
general public, it is critical for people to understand the benefits of the vaccines and why they
much outweigh any minor potential side effects or inconvenience.
According to Michael Saag, M.D., professor of medicine at the University of Alabama at
Birmingham Division of Infectious Diseases, the possibility of serious complications for anyone
who contracts the virus, as well as the public health consequences of the pandemic continuing,
are compelling reasons to get vaccinated. But what else should the general people be aware of?
The COVID-19 vaccine can assist you from contracting the virus.
COVID-19 vaccinations have been licensed after being tested in clinical trials and demonstrating
that the vaccine considerably reduces the risk of catching the virus. Even if you receive the virus,
the COVID-19 vaccination may help you avoid becoming extremely ill, based on what has been
proven regarding vaccines for other diseases. Getting vaccinated may help protect individuals
around you, especially those who are at higher risk of severe COVID-19 sickness. The full worth
of the vaccine, according to Saag, may be recognized when we examine what would happen if
the vaccine development had failed.
The COVID-19 vaccine is a vital instrument in the fight against the pandemic.
Stopping a pandemic necessitates the use of all available tools. Wearing masks and keeping a
safe distance from people can help minimize your risk of contracting the virus or spreading it to
others, but these precautions are insufficient. Vaccines work with your immune system to ensure
that if you are exposed to the virus, you will be prepared to fight it. The best protection against
COVID-19 is a combination of getting vaccinated and following CDC advice to protect yourself
and others. Ending the COVID-19 pandemic will put an end to the virus's expanding detrimental
impact on education, the economy, health care, and countless other aspects of society.
COVID-19 immunization is a less risky technique to aid in the development of protection.
COVID-19 can cause major, life-threatening consequences, as evidenced by the hundreds of
patients who require hospitalization every day at UAB. Even though certain groups are affected
less severely than others due to age, health, and other variables, no one can predict how COVID-
19 will impact an individual. COVID-19 may provide some natural protection in the form of
immunity. However, doctors are unsure how long that immunity lasts, and the risk of serious
disease and death from COVID-19 far surpasses any natural immunity benefits. Getting
vaccinated causes an antibody response, which protects you from contracting the disease without
having to go through it. Experts are looking into both natural immunity and vaccine-induced
immunity as essential aspects of COVID-19. Officials from the health-care system intend to keep
the public updated on new developments.
