Introduction

Nestle Worldwide was founded by Henri Nestlé of Vevey, Switzerland, who was linked with
the Anglo-Swiss Condensed Milk Company. Many people wonder how this Nestle
Worldwide concept came to be. Henri Nestle, a Swiss scientist, created his first infant
formula in 1967 to save the life of his neighbor's kid who couldn't nurse and was
malnourished.

Nestle was founded in Malaysia in 1912. The first Nestle office in Malaysia was established
on Bishop Street, Penang, as the Anglo-Swiss Condensed Milk Company. Nestle Company
then extended to Kuala Lumpur in 1939 as a result of development and expansion. In 1962,
the first Nestle plant in Malaysia was established in Petaling Jaya. It now manufactures its
goods in seven plants located in Selangor: Petaling Jaya and ShahAlam in Selangor,
Chembong in Negeri Sembilan, and Kuching in Sarawak. Furthermore, Nestle Malaysia's
headquarters are in Mutiara Damansara.

Nestle Company has been publicly traded on the KLSE, now known as Bursa Malaysia
Berhad, since December 13, 1989, at an issue price of RM5.20 per share, although it climbed
dramatically to RM21.00 per share in the year 2000.

Nestle Malaysia Sdn Bhd now employs over 5000 people and manufactures and markets over
300 Halal goods in Malaysia. Nestle becomes the industry leader in nutrition, health, and
wellbeing. Nestle managed the corporation through the use of local autonomous regional
workers ("Nestle's Competitive Strategy"). This is because, unlike outsiders, they understand
the culture and tastes of the local market. Furthermore, Nestle manufactures items that are
appropriate for each faith in a nation.
