Program Title :

Dental Mission Special Project series for Surigao del Sur and Surigao del Norte Provinces.

Program Location :

The Dental Mission will be conducted on the 2nd quarter of this year to the following cities and
municipalities.

Tandag City, SDS

Surigao City, SDN
Municipality of Barobo, SDS
Mun. Of Cantilan, SDS

Date of Implementation Target:

2nd quarter (April-June 2021)

Rationale :

The NCMF Caraga region has been providing dental missions to Muslim areas in
Augusan del Norte and Augusan del Sur with successful missions conducted in various Muslim
communities in the past and in recent times. This year has been challenging to everyone,
limitations and restrictions were implemented all over the country. With No exemptions and
because we wanted to reach out to even more communities outside Augusan del Sur and Norte
respectively, we desire to extend our services to those who experience the challenges this
pandemic has brought. Primary health care, being the basic need and the most priority for
nowadays setting, it is with anticipation that we could at least take advantage of any opportunity
to give oral health care education in addition to Covid-19 awareness to the said target
communities.

Objectives:

 To provide dental services and consultations.

 To provide free dental kits.
 To educate beneficiaries on proper oral hygiene.

Methodology:

1. Profiling of beneficiaries

2. Dental kits distribution to beneficiaries

3. Oral health and proper oral hygiene Education

4. Proper brushing of teeth

5. Fluoride application and consultation
