lives of the people. Such understanding of the importance of proper personal hygiene, moral
values, self-expression, environmental education, and healthy lifestyle can be developed at such
a young age through various skills and with the help of the people around them.

As observed, the children from Barangay 20, Poblacion, Batangas City need to acquire
and develop their knowledge regarding various topics that will hone their potentials at such a
young age. Hon. Jessie Fetalvero stated that it would be best to conduct a Tutorial Program to the
children. Some of the suggested topics were about academics and also about proper hygiene. The
Disaster Risks Reduction and Management was also mentioned but it was emphasized that only
the basics must be performed as most of the children are not yet capable of the more complex
procedures. Some of them, considering their young age, might consider learning as boring and
that’s why the Barangay Chairman also mentioned that it is important to have an activities that
will make them interested. The children should be given proper attention in order to grow as a
healthy and socially developed individual. The activities prepared for them will help them
achieve a sense of their duties in the society that can improve and nurture their minds at such an
early age.
