TITLE ARK.co (Alyansa ng mga Responsableng Kabataan) & Company
RATIONALE  With the OKD policies and guidelines, it aims to promote and provide all
learners and DepEd personnel with a sustainable holistic school health and
nutrition program towards healthier behaviors and better learning
outcomes.
 ARK.CO is initiated by the School Health and Nutrition Section and will be a
collaborative program with the Youth Formation Coordinator (BKD and
YES.O), PDO II for DRRM and extended to internal and external stakeholders.
DETAILS OF INNOVATION
a. OBJECTIVES
 From the DepEd Mission:
- To protect and promote the right of every Filipino to quality, equitable,
culture-based, and complete basic education where:
- Students learn in a child-friendly, gender-sensitive, safe, and motivating
environment.
Teachers facilitate learning and constantly nurture every learner.
Administrators and staff, as stewards of the institution, ensure an enabling
and supportive environment for effective learning to happen.
Family, community, and other stakeholders are actively engaged and share
responsibility for developing life-long learners.
Hence, ARK.Co will be created to mobilize and make this mission a reality
where our learners be introduced/provided with worthwhile activities where
they can engage in and keep them away from trying these illegal drugs.
b. DESCRIPTION
- ARK.co will be composed of different areas:
HEALTH Promotion and Disaster Preparedness:
First Aid and Basic Life Support activities– establishment of RCYC in
schools and Red Cross 143, partnership with but not limited to Philippine
Redcross Ilocos Sur, Rotary Club of Vigan, ISMS and more.
Blood Program – collaboration with the blood warrior SDO program,
ARK.co will assist blood letting programs initiated by the
SDO, LGU, PRC
Environmental Support and Protection – Yes.O involvement conduct of
activities related to environmental protection and advocacy campaigns
-Involvement in turtle freeing? Tree planting
- The Leave No Trace Seven Principles lectures
SPORTS, CULTURE & ARTS – Members will be given the chance to learn
dancing, singing, play musical instruments, painting or drawing and play
different sports, laro ng lahi wherein our resource persons will come
from the talented/skilled local individuals in our city or province.
Life Skills training – from learning how to cook, how to do the laundry up
to learning basic self defense. Our learners should be prepared to
become active, well-informed and responsible citizens willing to take
part in the improvement of our society.

One of the highlights of this program is a yearly conduct of ARK.Co-OKD
Camp where members (learners and employees/coordinators) will meet
and share their accomplishments, achievements, showcase talents they
have honed/improved and participate in friendly competitions. QUIZBEE,
SIMULTANEOUS, TOOTHBRUSHING, HANDWSHING
Implementation of the program will consider existing policies and
guidelines of child protection and DO 003, 2023 re: An order allowing the
conduct of In-Person activities in schools.
Equip teachers to be effective nurturers of the learners????/

 Member employees will be given trainings and lectures so they will be effective
nurturers of the learners.
 Hence, ARK.Co will be created to mobilize and make this mission a reality
where our learners be taught and trained basic life skills they need throughout
their lives. Learners will be introduced/provided with worthwhile activities
where they can engage in and keep them away from trying illegal drugs.
Description ARK.co will operate based on the 6 OKD flagship programs focusing on
of the  BASIC LIFE SKILLS.- “a group of psychosocial competencies and
Program interpersonal skills that help people make informed decisions, solve
problems, think critically and creatively, communicate effectively, build
healthy relationships, empathize with others, and cope with and manage
their lives in a healthy and productive manner. Life skills may be directed
toward personal actions or actions toward others, as well as toward actions
to change the surrounding environment to make it conducive to health.”

A. Mental Health – Coping skills, Stress management, self- awareness


B. School Based Feeding Program w/ Gulayan sa Paaralan– Choosing
healthy food and beverages, learning food safety and proper food
preparation, learning how to plant vegetables in their households that
can be a source of family food. NDEP
C. Medical, Nursing and Dental Services with DRRM– Basic First Aid,
disaster preparedness during disasters and life-threatening situations,
learning proper toothbrushing,
D. WiNS- Handwashing, proper waste segregation and disposing,
menstrual hygiene, sources of safe and clean water
E. ARH- learning how to take care of our reproductive health, how to
prevent early pregnancies and avoiding sexually transmitted diseases
F. National Drug Education Program with Barkada Kontra sa Drogra- this
group will be a diversion for the youth to keep them away from trying
prohibited drugs and joining
