I. ACTIVITY RATIONALE
Disaster Preparedness refers to measures taken to prepare for and reduce the effects of disasters. That is,
to predict and, where possible, prevent disasters, mitigate their impact on vulnerable populations, and respond
to effectively cope with their consequences.
Covid – 19 pandemic is defining global health crisis of our time and the greatest challenge we have
faced since World War Two. Since its emergence in asia late last year, the virus has spread to every continent
except antarctica. Stressing every one of the countries it touches, it has the potential to create devastating social,
economic and political effects that will leave deep and long-lasting scars. It also affects the mental health
awareness amongst everyone.
With the initiation of Sanggunaing Kabataan of Barangay Molopolo through coordination the of the
Sangguniang Barangay of Molopolo, also in partnership with the Rural Health Unit of the Municipality of
Macrohon to conduct a Symposium on Disaster Preparedness and First Aid Drill Training and Organizing
Molopolo Youth Responder/Task Force on covid – 19 pandemic. Provide that the organizers will observe to
follow the safety measures on covid – 19 pandemic health protocols and restrictions.
This aforesaid event, will enhance the Physical aspects, promoting awareness about the disaster
preparedness, to be able to respond immediately when there is calamity, and to organizing Barangay Disaster
Risk Reduction Management Response Team/ Task Force on Covid – 19 pandemic.

II. OBJECTIVES
1. To give knowledge and awareness about the Disaster Preparedness and First Aid Drill and strictly
following on safety measures, health protocols and restrictions on covid – 19 pandemic.

2. To be effective and reliable responder in the community as well as in the society.

3. To promote camaraderie amongst everybody.

III. METHODOLOGIES

A. Materials/ Equipment
The SK Officials together with the members of the committee will facilitate and handle the
necessary preparations including the materials and equipment to be used so as the budgetary appropriations of
various activities to be compete prior to the conduct of the aforesaid event.

C. Venue & Schedule of Activities

V. SOURCE OF FUNDS
The Source of fund for this activity will be taken from the 10% of the SK Annual Budget charge to
Disaster Risk Reduction Resiliency and Health and Anti-Drug Savings.
