MUNICIPAL SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT

ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

I. HIGHLIGHTS OF ACCOMPLISHMENT:

July to December 2019

Children’ s Sector

 Launching of the Supplementary Feeding Program Cycle 9. A total of 1651


Daycare Children continue to benefit the Supplementary Feeding Program
which is primarily funded by DSWD Regional Office VII with counterpart
support by the Local Government Unit of Consolacion. The said program
geared towards the reduction of the incidence of malnutrition. To date, we are
now on the 49th day of the Feeding.

Hon. Joannes P. Alegado personally supervised the distribution of the goods for the
Supplementary Feeding

 Back to back with the provision of the Supplementary Feeding Program, LGU
Consolacion also implemented the provision of Hygiene Kit to all the daycare
children. Hygiene Kit includes soap, face towel, toothbrush, toothpaste and
comb. This is intended to train the very young daycare children on proper
hygiene and self care. A total of Php165,000.00 pesos has been allocated
and expended for this purpose.

 The Daycare Children were also given the opportunity to do child friendly
physical activities and practice sportsmanship through the conduct of the “
KIDDIELYMPICS”. Wherein the children will have to compete one another in
dance sports, field demonstration and the like.

 As part of the administrative and technical support to the service providers


dealing with the children’s sector, the LGU thru the Municipal Social Welfare
and Development Office, also conducted a “ Trauma Informed Care for
Service Providers” The activity was participated by all the Daycare Workers,
Barangay Health Workers, Barangay Nutrition Scholars and the staff of the
Municipal Social Welfare Office. The activity was intended to equipped the
workers with proper attitude towards the client and be informed as to the
various trauma that anyone may be experiencing so as to better handle and
understand their clients. Somehow, this could help that no one will be re-
traumatized in the process of our service delivery.

Women’ s Sector

 The Consolacion Women’s Association continued to working together


towards self actualization and empowerment. They are also
continuously supported by the Local Government by providing
Federation Officers with mobilization allowance on a monthly basis.

 A total of 50 women residents of barangay Nangka were trained on


Candle Making. The training cost is Php188,000.00. They were also
provided with Starter Kits after, with the hope that they can have
additional means of living.
 Another training conducted was the – MEAT AND FRUIT PROCESSING with 50
participants. The Training is worth P368,195.00. The participants will receive
starter kit up

PWD Sector

 The Persons with Disabilities in Consolacion has been Federated and the
respective Federation Officers has been given monthly allowance as mobilization
Funds. They have been givenPhp500/month.

 As of September, 2019, there are a total of One Thousand Two Hundred


Seventy Two (1,272) PWDS registered as member of the PWD Federation.

 For the month of July to September, 2019. There are a total of 173 New
applicants for PWD ID who were served and issued the corresponding ID Cards
and purchase booklet.

 On the other hand, there One Hundred Thirty Nine (139) PWDs who are in SPED
class who were given monthly educational assistance @300/month.

 Two PWDs who are members of PADS were given augmentation support during
their participation in the International Dragon Boat Competition

Senior Citizen Sector

 For the Period July to September, 2019, a total of Three Hundred Forty Two
(342) Senior Citizen were issued with Senior Citizen ID Card, purchase
booklet and purchase Slip.

 To date, there are already more than Seven thousand Senior Citizen who
registered and enlisted as members of the Senior Citizens Federation.
 The Federation Officers are also provided with monthly allowance @
800/month

 A total of 1,619 Social Pensioners were able to receive their monthly


stipend for the first semester in the total amount of 3,000 per person

Other Accomplishments:

 Issuance of Solo Parent Id with a total of 21 Solo Parents who are issued with
ID

 Validation and registration of approximately 3,876 individuals for the UCT

 Provision of Financial Assistance for Individuals who are in Crisis

 Conduct of Pre Marriage Counselling (PMC)

For the period, a total of One Hundred Thirty Three Couples were
given Pre Marriage Counselling and an Orientation on Responsible
Parenthood. The attendance of PMC is a pre-requisite
