2. PRESENTACION
Every English learner knows how to talk about general things of common topics. In this guide you will learn
about specific matters in your speciality. You will have the opportunity to improve your grammar skills by
doing some specific activities. Remember you must try to write your own sentences and be aware of your
weaknesses and strengths in order to improve your language skills.
There are different structures, in this guide we are going to work on present tenses and basic vocabulary,
we use the present, and continuous tenses to express, retell and introduce or describe actions in a simple
and easy way, so that we can broaden our English level and improve the language skills thus improving our
language acquisition and level.
Develop the following activities in order to learn the expressions, vocabulary and necessary
grammar to describe places, cities, jobs, feelings, emotions and daily life situations. The activities
explore all of the four skills, listening, reading, and writing so you can practice what you learn
through different ways and strategies, this way we can diagnose your English level and 3 of the 4
skills, so we can design the new lessons by having that information into account.

Nessie is big. She is about 40 feet long. She has a very long neck and a small head. She has three humps on
her back. She lives in Loch Ness. Loch Ness is a lake in Scotland.
Nessie is famous all over the world. She is also called the Loch Ness Monster. Stories about the Loch Ness
Monster are very old. There are many photographs of Nessie, too. Most of the photographs show Nessie
swimming in the lake. But many people think that the photographs are not real. Most people also think that
the stories about Nessie are not true. Some people have tried to find the Loch Ness Monster. But the lake is
over 22 miles long and 700 feet deep. Nessie is still a mystery. Thousands of people visit Scotland every
year. They hope to see the famous Loch Ness Monster.
