What you’ll need:
• I hook 5.5 MM
• WW in 2 Colors of choice
• 1 matching button for flower (Optional)
• Tapestry needle for weaving in tails
• Ruler for measuring the band length
Stitches Used:
• Sl St: Slip Stitch - insert hook, pull up loop and through 1st loop on hook.
• SC: Single Crochet - insert hook into stitch, YO & pull up a loop, YO pull
through loops on hook.
• HDC: Half-Double Crochet - YO, insert hook into stitch, YO & pull up a loop,
YO, pull through all 3 loops on hook.
• DC: Double Crochet - YO, insert hook into stitch, YO & pull up a loop, YO, pull
through 2 loops, YO, pull through remaining 2 loops on hook.
To obtain gauge:
Make a chain a little over 4 inches. Do 1 Hdc in 2nd ch from hook and across. Ch
1 turn and Hdc across until your swatch is a little over 4 inches. Then count how
many stitches you have in 4 inches and how many rows in 4 inches.
Adjust if needed to obtain my gauge above
Band Instructions:
Ch 3
Row 1: 1 Hdc in second chain from hook, 1 Hdc in next chain, Ch 1 Turn
Once you’ve reached the above Band Length Tie off leaving tail long enough
to sew both ends together line them up making sure not to twist the band and
sew together. Tie off and weave in your tail.
Flower:
Ch 37
Row 1: 2 Dc in 3rd ch from hook, *skip one ch, 2 Dc in next ch* Ch 3 turn
Row 2: (This Row will be done between each pair of Dc.. you will see a gap) *1
Sc, 4 Dc, 1 Sc* Repeat * in each space across, Sl st to last opening and tie off.
