1. Did you plan any cross-curricular activities during this month?


 Yes, please give details regarding the activity/ project.

Yes, In Unit 5, Lesson 1

Activity: Tuning in with students (Little teacher) describing the land form that was explained science in
topic 4 and connecting it to social studies lessons in unit 2.

Ch.5 L.1
- Integration between science and Social studies positively impacts learners experience to measure
the learners’ proficiency to explain science concepts.

2. Do you have any comments in regards to the social development of the students in this class?

-We cannot deny that the pandemic circumstances have negatively affected the learner’s academic and
social skills but using of differentiated learning strategies that meet the different needs of the learners
have played an important role in developing their skills.
-Regarding to special cases of the learners, we have already provided the learners with some job titles
that engaged them unintentionally to perform tasks like (inventors, explorers, helpers, little teachers...)

3. Do you have any academic concerns you would like to share in regards to this class?

- No

4. Are you following a motivational program with the students that includes incentives that could
be shared with other grade level teachers?
Yes, little teacher activity and points rewarded on class dojo.

5. What forms of alternative assessments have you implemented during this month?

Formative assessment: Games, chapter review, lesson review, online assignments.


Summative assessment: Test and quiz
Assessment for learning (AFL): Q&A, Task based feedback, thumbs up or down, peer assessment.
6. What differentiation methods have you used that were effective with students?

-Differentiation by support for BL learners.


-Differentiation for the online learners that join the sessions virtually.
-Challenge & critical thinking Qs for AL learners.
-Differentiation through group’s activity by distributing different tasks for the three levels AL, BL, and OL.

7. Which classroom management strategy have you used and found to be effective with this class?

-Class call. (On campus)


-Positive reinforcement (Reward chart and class Dojo reward).
- Traffic signs. (On campus)
-Motivation and competitive games. (Online sessions)

8. Any concerns to discuss for this grade level?

Yes, lessons in the science book are not well displayed or detailed.
- The activity book contains some mistakes.
Kindly reconsider our concerns when promoting and adopting the book next year.

-Our science sessions are delivered to the learners according to department mission and vision which is
already aligned with school mission and vision.
-Using the scientific method which is based on inquiry, critical thinking and analysis.
-Using virtual labs and lab sessions.
-Using educational websites that meet the needs of the learners and improve their skills (21 st century
skills)
-Relate the science lessons to the environment and real-life examples.
-Hold science activities that help learners to be autonomous, critical thinkers, analytical and life-long
learners (Science academic competition- Energy day|) and many other events that will be applied in the
following terms.
-Applying different classroom strategies that targets leveling up the learners’ academic level as well as
personal skills.
