Settings
Settings are set at default levels. Only change if required.

IMPORTANT: Offline Capability

Forms, regardless of who assigns them,


must be downloaded onto the user’s device
PRIOR TO heading to a remote site with no
service. The forms may be under In
Progress, Assigned or Favorites to access.

Once the form(s) are downloaded onto the


device, the technician may perform and
complete the inspection at site, tap Submit
and the form will push through to
completion when connectivity resumes.

Failure to do so prior to heading to a site


with no service will result in the inability to
complete or load a form.

Forms only

A Note about Searching:

Search by Family or S/N, depending on the form.

E.g. if the form is for a PM service under a specific S/N prefix for a
specific model, search by S/N prefix over product family.

E.g. if the form is a general form used across a range of products,


search by Product Family under ‘Family-All’.

E.g. if the form has no S/N prefix associated with it, but is for a specific
product, search via Product Family.

Setting Favorites

Tapping on the icon will set the form as a favorite


and move it into the Favorites section of the application

• Tap on the form to create the Inspection


• This opens up the form

Note: Favorites allows a user to download a frequently


used inspection form and use it many times, eliminating the
need to download a new form for every inspection

Tap into Customer & Asset Info

Users can complete the fields with the following methods:


• Scan a QR Code – quick response code generated
from Cat Inspect Web; user may still be required to
provide inputs
• Scan a CAT PIN – provides only Make, Model and
S/N of a CAT asset
• Tap to pull historical information (see next slide)
• Complete fields without scanning either above options

Tap < to move NOTE: If both QR code and CAT PIN are scanned,
back a screen whichever is scanned last will re-populate the Make,
Model and S/N. Users do not need to scan both.

• Once scanned, the fields will populate from data in
the code
• User will be prompted to enter SMU hours

NOTE: If both QR code and CAT PIN are scanned,


whichever is scanned last will re-populate the Make,
Model and S/N

Once forms are submitted, they may be retrieved on the user’s device via the Reports Panel
