Get Started with Cisco Webex Training


Webex Training makes your online training programs more e ective. You can deliver live, interactive sessions to
students anywhere, and keep them engaged with hands-on training, tests, and breakout sessions to enhance their
learning.

Schedule a Training Session

Log in to your organization's Webex Training site and go to Host a Session > Schedule Training.

At a minimum, complete session information, like registration requirements, date, audio settings, and attendees.
You can also set up breakout sessions, computer labs, and course material in advance.

Start a Training Session

At the scheduled time, log in to your organization's Webex Training site. Go to My Webex > My Meetings, locate
your training session, and select Start.

Join a Training Session

When you were invited to a training session, you received an email with instructions. Just click the link to join the
session. Under Join Session Now, enter your name and email address, and then click Join Now.

You might be asked to enter a session password. You can nd this in your training session invitation.

The Webex Training user interface is simple. Training session options in the center and participants and other
panels on the right.

Connect to Audio

To connect to the audio during a Webex Training session, you can use your phone or your computer (with a
headset).

Go to and select the way you'd like to connect:

To receive a callback at a di erent number, select an option from the drop-down list, then select Call Me.

Start Your Video

When you join a training session, your video is o by default. If you'd like others to see you, select to start
your webcam. The button turns blue when your video is on.

If you don't want people to hear you, select to mute yourself.

Change your mind and don't want to be on video? Select to stop your video for the training session. The

button turns gray when your video is o .

To share your screen during the training session, select .

To share les, such as a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation, select an option from the drop-down list

Your sharing option (screen, le, or application) is saved for you for the next time.

Go to the Share menu for more sharing options.

Record a Training Session

Your training sessions are important. If not everyone can attend, or if you want to make on-demand recorded
training available, record your session to share later. The recording includes the audio, video, and presentations.

While in your training session, select to record right away. You and your participants will see a red
icon when recording is in process.

When the training session ends, you’ll receive an email with the recording link.

Your recording typically arrives soon after the training session, but it might take a while, depending on recording
size, site bandwidth, and other factors.
