How do you think human activities have affected the ecosystem that we and other organisms live in?

Ecosystems can be directly affected by human activity. Overpopulation, overconsumption, pollution,

burning fossil fuel, and deforestation are all factors that have an impact on the ecosystem. This can
result in biodiversity and other natural resources being destroyed, degraded, or impaired. Human
activities have triggered also climate change, global warming, soil erosion, pollution, habitat destruction,
and ozone depletion. Because of the increasing population, affluence, and advancement in technology,
the stake of the environment are being disregarded to the point that these human activities can stress
the ecosystem, as they operate in reducing its overall health and at some point the accumulation of all
negative impact from human activities can exceed the ecological threshold of the planet.

As a result, we must be conscious of our personal environmental impact. Whether we can live with it or
not solely depends on the decisions and actions we make next because many of these activities seem to
be worsening with time, bringing us into a time of a true environmental crisis. It is therefore becoming
increasingly important to raise awareness of the existence of these issues, as well as what can be done
to reduce their negative impact.
